Chapter 264 - The Heavenly Father's Divine Might, the Witch's Decisive Choice

As Jehovah's furious rebuke echoed, Zhou Yi instantly felt a surge of excruciating pain erupt from within his body. It was the sensation of his divine power running wild. Every muscle, every bone, and every single cell was being flooded by his own boundless power, nearly bursting his body apart.

Even with his divine body, he could not endure such agony. The pain was so intense it felt as if he were being fried alive in a vat of boiling oil. It was unbearable—so unbearable that Zhou Yi couldn't help but scream aloud.

Simultaneously, the Sun Wheel enveloping him began to lose its power. The interwoven flames of light lost their form in an instant. The thunderous bolts surging in the sky and the boiling sea of light beneath his feet converged completely. They shattered the Sun Wheel like breaking glass, then hurtled forward to strike Zhou Yi, who stood trapped at its center.

At this moment, Zhou Yi had even lost the ability to fly. Engulfed in agony, he couldn't even stand in the void. He became a living target, struck by countless bolts of thunder and flashes of light. Flames of light erupted, and thunder roared. Each strike inflicted more damage on his body, each strike bringing him greater pain. He could no longer hold on and fell from the clouds like a burning meteor.

The Thunder Strike and flames of light left his body searingly hot. He lost control and plunged into the endless Sea of Blood below.

The colossal waves of blood splashed violently from his fall. The creatures within the Sea of Blood were also annihilated in swarms by the residual heat of the Thunder Strike and flames of light clinging to him.

This caused Lilith, who had been trying to absorb the Sea of Blood into her own Hell, to groan in pain. The creatures of the Sea of Blood were equivalent to clones of her own life; every loss drained her life force. If all these creatures were destroyed, she would be left with only a single life. And to face God with that solitary life would be nothing short of a pipe dream.

She had hoped to rely on Zhou Yi to buy her precious time, allowing her to recover to her peak condition as quickly as possible. With that, the two of them could join forces to fight God; even if victory wasn't guaranteed, they might at least avoid defeat.

But the situation had far exceeded her expectations. She never imagined Jehovah could grow this powerful—far more so than when they had fought before. Nor did she anticipate him wielding such a miraculous power. Even Zhou Yi, a New God whose strength defied all reason and who always harbored the unexpected, had been defeated by Jehovah's altered causality.

The situation was now crystal clear. What would befall them next?

Lilith seemed to have already glimpsed the sealed future, a future she absolutely refused to endure. She would rather be annihilated and erased from existence than continue to linger in a sealed prison.

She was ready to stake everything on a desperate gamble.

She would use her current, frail body to directly confront the majestic God who stood enthroned in the heavens. Just then, a strange ripple stirred within the Sea of Blood, drawing her attention.

She was the Queen of the Sea of Scarlet. From another perspective, she was also the Goddess of Life. She was intimately familiar with the aura of life. Precisely because of this, she could sense the life force quietly erupting and growing stronger within the depths of her own Sea of Blood.

Zhou Yi had once again surprised her. She had assumed that the level he had reached before was the absolute limit for this New God. In the face of Jehovah's overwhelming power, even if he had managed to survive, he should have been clinging to life by a thread, completely incapable of fighting back.

But now, it seemed she had underestimated Zhou Yi—and she had underestimated this New God severely.

He had not sustained any critical injuries. Or rather, within her Sea of Life, the newly wounded New God was recovering at an astonishing speed. His life force and divine power were even becoming stronger than before.

Lilith could feel a new power taking root, not only within Zhou Yi himself but also within her own Sea of Blood, feeding back into her body.

It was the power of life—a magnificent divinity belonging to the Domain of Life, completely different from her own. It was like the true sun in the sky. Now, the divinity emanating from Zhou Yi pulsed with unimaginable vitality.

Like sunlight bathing the earth, Zhou Yi's divine power was now not only repairing himself with the aid of Lilith's Sea of Life, but also bestowing its essence upon the Sea of Scarlet.

His divine radiance strengthened the creatures within this crimson sea, making them more robust and vigorous. At the same time, it bolstered the power of the Sea of Scarlet's mistress. His and Lilith's domains of life overlapped completely and intimately, forming a perfect complementarity. This, in turn, amplified their respective divine powers.

Of course, such a boost in strength was a mere drop in the bucket given their current predicament. Yet, this change offered Lilith a glimmer of hope.

Zhou Yi's unpredictability had led her, in this moment of utter despair, to entrust all her hopes to him. The situation had deteriorated so severely that she had no choice but to gamble everything on him.

And so, at this moment, Lilith completely ignored God in the heavens. She coiled her serpentine body and sprang from her throne, diving into the Sea of Scarlet below like a fish.

She intended to use this fleeting moment to reveal the greatest secret of the deities to Zhou Yi, the New God, hoping he could obtain divine power comparable to God's.

Of course, she knew this was an impractical fantasy. After all, even the most brilliant deity could never instantly grasp the truth of this secret in such a short time, let alone construct the true power of a god from it.

But she had no other choice. She could only hope that the unpredictability Zhou Yi possessed would once again play its part.

Seeing Lilith dare not face him directly and instead plunge into the Sea of Scarlet, God in the sky immediately assumed she was trying to escape back to her Hell, hoping to find a chance to survive there.

Jehovah was unwilling to let this possibility happen. After all, the reason he had gone to such great lengths, even clashing with the New God Zhou Yi, was precisely to deny his former rival any chance to catch her breath. Therefore, the moment he realized Lilith might be trying to flee, he immediately launched an attack against her.

Endless thunder and Holy Light surged into Lilith's Sea of Scarlet, beginning to slaughter every living being upon it. As her old rival, he knew her methods all too well. If these creatures of the Sea of Blood could not be completely wiped out, then the attack would be utterly useless against Lilith. As the Goddess of Life, the Undying Witch, no strike could deal her a devastating blow.

This was the foundation of Lilith's unbridled dominance in the long-lost Mythic Age. She was hailed as the Queen of the Undying Witches, and she relied on these creatures for that title. No matter how heavy the blow or how horrific the damage, it could only destroy a single one of her lives at most. With the Sea of Scarlet at her command, Lilith possessed nearly infinite lives. You could kill her once, but you could never kill her ten thousand times. She was, after all, a deity, not a lamb led to the slaughter. She was not so easily slain.

Therefore, even Jehovah, who had defeated her in the Mythic Age, could only choose to seal her away, unable to utterly destroy her.

But now, the situation had changed. To preserve her own power, Lilith had actually unleashed her Sea of Scarlet. This also meant she had released her infinite lives. The Queen of Witches, the Goddess of Night, Lilith, with her countless lives, was impossible to kill. However... a vast sea of blood creatures gathered together could be utterly destroyed.

And once she lacked the support of those countless lives within the Sea of Scarlet, Lilith was nothing in Jehovah's eyes.

So now, Jehovah unleashed his thunder and Holy Light, pouring his boundless power upon this Sea of Scarlet.

Even though the Sea of Scarlet was a sacred relic imbued with Lilith's divinity, it now faced an even more powerful God. In the face of Jehovah's might, it could not hold out for long.

Endless waves of blood surged, and countless creatures wailed in unison. Every moment, every second, the Sea of Scarlet endured immense and crushing blows. And Lilith, whose life was bound to it, suffered the same agony.

Yet she endured this agony, braving Jehovah's relentless assault. She even abandoned her own most precious Sea of Scarlet, desperately swimming toward Zhou Yi, who remained immersed in his own suffering.

Reaching his side, she shouted to him, his eyes still tightly shut.

"New God of this world! We still have one chance. Perhaps I can help you defeat Jehovah!"

Hearing this, Zhou Yi forced his eyes open, fighting through the pain. Though he couldn't speak, Lilith understood his silent question from his gaze: *How can I defeat Jehovah and his mysterious power?*

"Listen," she began. "Every deity possesses a True Name. It is more than just a symbol of glory and status; it is the very source of a god's fundamental power. Only a deity who has attained their True Name can fully control all their abilities. Only a god who has condensed their True Name is truly powerful. If you wish to oppose Jehovah—to oppose him as the Lord—you must condense your True Name now!"

*How the hell am I supposed to condense this damn True Name?*

The question was written all over Zhou Yi's face. His history as a deity was pitifully short; he didn't even know the most basic tenets of godhood, let alone the most secret knowledge of all: condensing a True Name.

"Follow my guidance," Lilith murmured. "I will reveal to you the most important secret of the gods."

As she spoke, she slithered forward, her voluptuous serpentine body coiling around Zhou Yi. The cold scales pressed against him, drawing their bodies flush. In the same breath, Lilith lowered her head to his lips.

A cold liquid flowed down Zhou Yi's throat, and with it, a torrent of complex knowledge flooded his mind.

It was the knowledge of a deity's True Name, the miraculous application of Authority. It could refine a god's Divinity, allowing it to be wielded at one hundred percent—or even beyond its limits.

In that instant, Zhou Yi understood. He finally grasped the missing piece of himself. The last empty slot in his Divinity was finally filled.

With all illusions shattered, he finally began to see the true nature of a deity. (To be continued ~^~)
