Chapter 27 - A drift to another end

The tale intoned by Silas was moving. It's usually harder for anyone to cope up with this extent of trauma. He could still hear those dabs echoing, when Vater tried to escape the tragic crime spot.

Leon and Silas had a new journey to commence and glorify. Thus on the name of this new mortal coil, they went through the market. Silas loved little spooks of dumplings sold by a nuclear family. Leon was more interested in visually stunning arts.

"Leon" Silas whispered as a strange feeling sets in

"Liora and I always wanted to go back to our village, once the syndicate was destroyed. I mean that's what our mother wished for us"

Leon was not happy with what he heard "so… are you sure she wants to come"

"That's the case" Silas explained "she was earlier, but now I could see her decision dwindling. But in case she chose to stay with you all… do take care of her"

"That goes without saying" Leon replied

As the hours wore on, the long night of Miho was ending. Mrs.Kaelen was in the attic- holding the noctyra Mr.Kaelen loved.

"I miss you of course" she would talk to herself "but everything is going good"

Leon who just stepped into the house saw the blossomed relief. He smiled and glided back to his room. Now it was time to jot the tale he experienced so far… It was time for the Book of Eternal Deity to devour the legend.

First the death of Emberal, later the tale of Industrial Piece. It's getting fascinating

Leon: Glad you liked it…

Book: Those two skulls, they are quite chattering aren't they?

Leon: Well… they are the embodiment of my paths. I guess gossipping is their hobby.

Book: Let me project the latest update

Book: You have impressed me, master. From now I will be your system to be obeyed and flourished

Leon: Isn't it contrasting… you call me master and reflect such disobedience at the same instance.

Book: That's how the upper god made me.

Leon paused…

Leon: Can you tell me about the upper god?

Book: That's part of your memory fragments. Evolve your status and it will unveil itself..

The conversation closed…

["What did that damn book utter about me?" Path of Eternal Deity messaged]

Leon didn't reply, stuck in that complicated diplomatic crises. The remaining finally came back- bashing the door, roaring about how it was.

"Oh, you all are back" Mrs.Kaelen slipped out of her room

"I want to sleep" Faf whispered crawling to his room

Liora sighted the noctyra peeping out of the door,

"Leon… would you play it, just like before" she pointed

"Can I, mother" Leon bowed to take it

"Of course, son" she smiled, excited to hear the beautiful rhymes.

Leon twitched the strings, the vibrations flew, echoing the sound. Liora sat beside Mrs.Kaelen, slowly fazing off with the melody.

The house hovered in the dimensional loop once again. The colourful blends were creeping in with the hazy fibres of the wormhole. The mirage appeared again, Mrs.Kaelen could see her son and husband waving just life before, Liora and Agasthus saw their families too. But Leon… he was lost into other conspiracies. He was himself, being born in the Light of Canals, with Drasthamus and Makina fondling with him. He saw Grimsa teasing Drasthamus about his wild goals for the child.

The scene switched to his little family now. Mr.Kaelen gave up his body for a serene soul. Leon and the others in the family jottling themselves against everyday ordeal. Finally he saw the tragic curse on Agasthus, and the journey to the unreal Tergoray Nols.

He saw Silas and his men waving from the other end. They were cheering for the Revenant, uplifting his judgment over Ascension. With them was Vlan, standing in a distant corner.

And finally at last, he saw his old mother…

Someone who he entrusted in his past life…

He didn't remember her name…

He didn't remember her voice…

But somehow he could tell it was his mother…

He smiled as she waved him back…

"Maybe the old age of that woman got grueling because of my past self" he thought "but I can't let that affect who I am now. Specially when I have such a loving people with me"

The music intensified as Leon spiralled in his thoughts

"I will make this story worthy… I will protect these people and destroy those lower gods" he held his stance once again "this is my story, the story of how I became a Godslayer"

He paused for the tender end…
