Chapter 118 – Fighting

In a nearby house, Mr. 8 (Igaram), Mr. 9, Miss Wednesday (Vivi), Miss Monday, and several other bounty hunters had gathered in a dimly lit room, speaking in hushed, confident tones.

"Did they really pass out after the party?" one of the bounty hunters asked. He was leaning against the wall while acting like a cool man. But he was looking like a thug instead of cool alpha male.

"They drank so much they couldn't possibly stay awake," a woman replied—Miss Monday, arms crossed. "They're all deep in sleep inside the building right now."

"As Miss Monday said," Igaram added with a nod, "they consumed an excessive amount of alcohol. They're completely unconscious."

Miss Monday rolled her eyes.

"Now can someone explain why we had to put on that ridiculous elaborate show for those idiots? We could have ambushed them right at the harbor. We're already short on supplies, and we just wasted a fortune on food and drinks."

Igaram raised a hand to calm her. "Before you question the plan, take a look at this." He pulled out a wanted poster and held it up.

The room went silent for a split second.

"Thirty million Belly?! For that idiot girl?!" Mr. 9, Miss Monday, and another hunter shouted in unison. Their eyes were bulging as they looked at the ridiculous amount of bounty.

"Don't be fooled by appearances," Igaram said calmly while tucking the poster of Lily away. "But that's not the real problem. Look at this one."

He unfolded another poster. The face staring back was unmistakably Alex.

"Forty million Belly!!"

"Impossible… Are they really newcomers to the Grand Line?"

Horror spread across every face in the room. A 40-million-Belly bounty on a supposed rookie was unheard of.

"And it gets worse," Igaram continued, spreading out a stack of wanted posters across the table.

The room fell deathly quiet. Kaya had no poster, but the rest of the crew's bounties were more than enough to make the hunters reconsider their earlier confidence.

Higher bounties meant greater strength—caution had been the right call. Luring them with alcohol and a fake welcome had been smart. Now they could slit their throats in their sleep and collect the rewards without a real fight.

Everyone nodded silently in agreement—everyone except Vivi. Her mind was elsewhere. The vivid memory of Alex pounding Kaya relentlessly refused to fade.

She felt a pang of regret that such a powerful, alpha male was about to die tonight. Still, she steeled herself. This was for Alabasta. Personal desires had to be buried.

While the bounty hunters discussed the best way to finish the job and divide the bounties, Nami and Kaya stood atop a nearby rooftop. They were overlooking the town while listening the bounty hunters words.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt your little meeting," Nami called down mockingly. She was twirling her Clima-Tact in one hand. "But can we start the fight already? I'd like to defeat you all and go back to sleep."

The bounty hunters below froze in shock. The "drunk" pirates weren't unconscious at all. Worse—they clearly knew the welcome had been a trap, and the two girls were ready for combat.

Igaram's composure cracked as he commanded.

"Kill them!!"

The weapons flashed as nearly a hundred bounty hunters surged forward toward them. They were charging toward the rooftop.

In an instant, Nami fired a stream of bubbles from her Clima-Tact and vanished from sight.

(How had she gotten the weapon? Simple—Alex had purchased an early-version Clima-Tact from the system shop for a modest 3,000 Lust Energy Points. He had given it to her weeks earlier, and she had already become quite proficient with it.)

Mr. 8's eyes widened. "Fuck—where did she go?!"

Several hunters shouted in confusion. They were scanning the shadows, but Nami was already gone.

"Forget the orange-haired girl! Focus on the blonde one!" someone yelled.

All eyes turned to Kaya.

Kaya was standing alone now and her heart was pounding in fear. She had lived a sheltered life as a noble young lady; facing a mob of grim, armed bounty hunters terrified her.

But Alex's words echoed in her mind—along with the fighting technique he had taught her: Tsunade's Chakra Enhanced Strength.

In the Naruto world it relied on chakra, but here in One Piece, Kaya channeled it through sheer stamina. Later, she might even adapt it to Haki.

Gathering her courage, she leaped from the rooftop and slammed her fist into the ground.

BOOM!

The impact cracked the earth in a spider-web pattern. Several bounty hunters caught in the shockwave were hurled backward. They were groaning in pain.

A group drew pistols and opened fire. Kaya moved with surprising speed, dodging the bullets and forcing their shots to hit their own allies instead.

At the same moment, Nami reappeared elsewhere, unleashing bursts of fire, thunder, and even deceptive illusions from her Clima-Tact—tricking hunters into attacking each other.

Kaya vanished again right after.

"Where did that blonde bitch go?!"

"She disappeared again!"

"Kill her fast—they're just two weak girls!" Mr. 8 barked.

He froze as the cold barrel of a pistol pressed against the back of his head.

"Don't move if you don't want your head to explode," Nami said sweetly. "Give the order. Tell everyone to drop their weapons."

She smiled in confident. 'I used to think the Grand Line was full of monsters with brute strength. I was wrong. Everyone on this island is weaker than me.'

Having sex with Alex has somewhat increase her strength. Moreover Alex had given her several portions that had increased her strength. Ordinary opponents no longer stood a chance. She felt like she could even defeat the Arlong now.

But the bounty hunters didn't lower their guns. Instead, they aimed right back at Nami. They were willing to sacrifice their "mayor" without hesitation.

'They really are vile scum,' Nami thought coldly. 'They deserve to die.'

"Don't be foolish! Do you want to kill me?! Stop!" Mr. 8's face paled as he realized his men weren't listening. In desperation, he pulled out his trumpet and blew a sharp note. The trumpet was in fact a gun and it fired wildly at the crowd behind him.

Nami ducked low as she avoided the shots. Several bounty hunters fell as they were riddled with bullets from their own leader.

She darted behind cover and smirked. "Hehe… 90 bounty hunters have died. Now only ten remained."

The remaining hunters scrambled as they were searching frantically for her. When one finally spotted her, he fired—but Nami countered with precision, taking him out before he could reload.

Meanwhile, Kaya fought with raw power—fists and kicks enhanced by her strength technique. She hadn't killed anyone intentionally; as a doctor, her instinct was to preserve life. Still, her blows were devastating. Some bounty hunters likely died from the sheer force of her strikes, even if she hadn't meant to.

Bullets flew toward both women, but they moved like ghosts—dodging, countering, dismantling the mob piece by piece.

There had been roughly one hundred bounty hunters. The plan was for each girl to take down about fifty. But Kaya was still hesitant and unused to combat. She had only defeated around fifteen so far.

Nami, however, was a different story. She tore through them like a wolf among sheep.

She was suing fire, lightning, illusions—she used every trick in her arsenal. When needed, she picked up fallen pistols and swords, showing no mercy. Having sailed the seas since she was eight, she knew exactly how cruel pirates and bounty hunters could be. She went straight for the kill.

In just over an hour, Nami had taken down more than eighty.

Now only three remained standing: Igaram (Mr. 8), Vivi (Miss Wednesday), and Miss Monday.

Even Mr. 9 had fallen some time earlier.
