Jumping from branch to branch, Team 7 moved deeper into the dark shadows of the forest , Naruto dedicated one Mind-Partition to analyzing his latest system reward.
Almost instantly, he felt a sharp improvement in his senses. Despite never having set foot in a Wild forest like this, an instinctive awareness of his directions and the lurking dangers washed over him.
He glanced down at the strange flora and fauna passing by in a blur. He could somehow just tell which berries would cause him Poisoning and which streams were safe to drink from.
( Hmm. It's more like a gut instinct than an encyclopedia,) Naruto thought about his new Passive skill.
It didn't take long for him to weigh the pros and cons. The skill didn't provide direct combat power, and it would definitely be less effective in an urban or artificial environment. It also required real-world experience to fully maximize, and it absolutely couldn't counter advanced, chakra-based traps or high-level genjutsu.
( Hmm , Wild Survivor ........ It's like that Guy who says , It has lots of protein )
Still, it was exactly what he needed right now. Naruto let out a slow breath, his eyes fixed on Sasuke and Sakura's backs up ahead. He could faintly feel the Hiraishin marks anchored to them, as well as the ones on his other friends scattered throughout the forest.
(...Hope my preparations are enough.)
Expanding his Kagura's Mind Eye, Naruto pushed his senses to their absolute limit. He searched for that specific, disgusting signature.
(...Disappeared.)
Orochimaru's rotten, slimy chakra signature was completely gone. Naruto had been keeping a loose track of his movements, but now, not only the Sannin but his two Grass Village goons had vanished from his radar.
( It's not that Kagura's Mind Eye is weak. But for it to show its true strength, it needs to sense the chakra first... even if its range is incredibly broad.)
Naruto recalled a training sessions and Lectures with Kakashi. Being a former ANBU captain, Kakashi knew all the orthodox counters to sensory ninja and hadn't held anything back while teaching him.
Generally, there were two ways to vanish from a sensor's radar. The first was using fuinjutsu seals to suppress your chakra—but doing so meant you couldn't actively use your chakra either.
The second was pure, unadulterated chakra control. The better your control, the more you could suppress your signature even while utilizing jutsu. But suppressing and using chakra simultaneously was agonizingly difficult. Even Elite Jonin struggled with it.
( Or maybe I'm just not proficient enough with Kagura's Mind Eye yet , afterall It's only been three or four months since I got it,)
Naruto thought realistically ,Then again, Orochimaru was a mad scientist who loved human experimentation. It was highly likely the snake freak had a few unnatural tricks up his sleeve to bypass sensors entirely.
(Hmm, yeah, that's probably it.)
Naruto had experienced this before. If Kakashi or Hattori Sensei didn't want to be found, Naruto couldn't sense them either.
(No wonder the Hyuga's Byakugan is so cherished......It let's you see )
Up ahead, Sasuke and Sakura came to a halt in a small clearing. Naruto dropped down lightly beside them.
"Let's arrange a password," Sasuke said immediately, his voice low. "In case we get separated and someone transforms into one of us to attack."
Sakura smiled happily, completely ignoring the tension of the environment. "Amazing, Sasuke-kun!"
Naruto nodded, completely unfazed. "Hm. There's an enemy team nearby, by the way. One of their members is perched right above us. Do you want to try, Sasuke?"
Sasuke's voice hitched. Both he and Sakura instantly tensed up, but Sasuke recovered his cool in a fraction of a second. His Sharingan flared to life, bleeding red into his eyes. He drew a kunai and immediately leaped up into the dense canopy.
"Don't interfere," Sasuke ordered sharply before vanishing into the leaves.
Before the exam started, Sasuke had explicitly asked Naruto not to jump into his fights unless it was absolutely necessary. Naruto Understood it.
So He stayed planted on the ground, looking over at Sakura, who was staring anxiously up into the trees.
"There's a full team nearby," Naruto told her flatly. "You should support Sasuke."
"...But Sasuke-kun said—"
"If you don't support him now, then how will you win his heart?" Naruto interrupted, knowing exactly which button to press. "There are three enemies up there. Take care of one, and let Sasuke handle the other two."
Sakura's eyes widened in realization. Giving a firm nod, she drew her kunai and disappeared into the trees after him. Naruto sighed, shaking his head. He flickered upward, casually stepping in front of Sakura's path to block her for a split second.
"Hm?! Naruto?"
"They're in this direction, Sakura," he pointed.
"...Oh."
Naruto watched Sakura adjust her trajectory. He quickly formed a single hand seal. Three Shadow Clones popped into existence. He sent one trailing silently after Sakura, and the other two fanned out toward Sasuke.
With his safety net deployed, the real Naruto sat back on a thick branch, casually leaning against the trunk to focus on his new passive.
(...Hmm. Stealth, Hound Senses, and Wild Survivor seem to have some interesting synergy. Let's see if I can use them effectively together like my other combos.)
Through his clones and MIndub Skill , Naruto watched Sasuke engage a Waterfall shinobi wearing a metal mask and strange gear.
[ Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique! ]
Sasuke spat a volley of small, blindingly fast fireballs. The enemy shinobi dodged them, weaving in a jagged, zig-zag pattern across the branches.
The shinobi closed the distance, and Sasuke met his intensity head-on. Their kunai clashed mid-air with a shower of sparks, but instead of locking into a grapple, both Genin used the momentum to flip past each other.
The moment Sasuke's feet touched a lower branch, a dense rain of kunai plummeted toward him from the canopy above.
His Sharingan tracking the trajectories perfectly, Sasuke simply dropped off the branch, using the thick wood as overhead cover. The weapons thudded harmlessly into the bark.
(...Hm, this is—shit!) Sasuke's Sharingan caught the subtle flutter of a paper bomb trailing behind one of the kunai. The moment the blade stuck into the wood above him, Sasuke kicked hard off the trunk, throwing himself backward.
*BOOM!*
The branch splintered into shrapnel. Sasuke dropped freely toward the forest floor. The masked shinobi, seeing Sasuke vulnerable in mid-air, surged forward to capitalize on the opening. But the enemy had severely underestimated the Uchiha with the Sharingan.
Looking up, the Waterfall shinobi finally locked eyes with Sasuke's spinning red irises. Realization and terror dawned on the man's face as he desperately tried to abort his attack and retreat.
But Sasuke had had enough. Utilizing the Sharingan's hyper-insight and dynamic vision, Sasuke twisted his body, his kunai flashing out in a brutal arc. The shinobi's torso was sliced open in seconds.
A brutal Taijutsu and Kunai Exchange happened and within 2 minutes , The Enemy was cutted in Multiple place
( Time to finish it ) Sasuke thought coldly.
Just as he moved to finish the bleeding man with a kunai to the throat, his peripheral vision caught a blur of movement. Sasuke abandoned the kill and hastily retreated backward.
*Splash!* *Splash!* *Splash!*
Several high-pressure water shots slammed into the exact spot Sasuke had just been standing. Sasuke looked up to see a second masked enemy dropping from the canopy.
(His teammate? Then where is the third? Did Naruto interfere?) Sasuke's tactical analysis was interrupted by the two enemies barking at each other.
"Arrogant bastard! That's what happens when you try to go alone!" the new arrival hissed at his bleeding comrade.
"...What happened to Asato?" the injured one grunted, clutching his chest.
"No idea. He should have arrived for the pincer, but he never gave the signal."
"Must be intercepted by the brat's team. So it's two on one on both sides ?"
"Let's kill him First anyway. We'll talk lat—"
Sasuke didn't let them finish. He whipped a barrage of shuriken at them from two different angles.
(Can't let them team up or coordinate.)
Both enemies scrambled to dodge, but the injured shinobi who had fought Sasuke first was too slow.
*ting*ting*ting*
The Shurikens Collided in mid-air and surrounded the Injured Genin , The shuriken rained down on him, cutting off his escape routes.
"This—?!"
The injured shinobi was pierced multiple times by the dense rain of steel, collapsing to the ground for good. With his final moments The Genin looked at his partner and saw that the shuriken that his teammate faced were actually thrown normally.
( .....So His target was me )
Sasuke used his Sharingan to confirmed the kill, then he immediately snapped his eyes toward the second shinobi But
(What?)
The second enemy was already sprinting away, fleeing into the dense foliage without an ounce of hesitation. Before Sasuke could even launch a pursuit, the man was swallowed by the shadows of the forest.
Sasuke ground his teeth, but before he could move, he heard the unmistakable sound of a struggle nearby.
(What now?) Sasuke rushed through the trees, peering down into a small clearing just in time to see Sakura take a brutal hit.
*Smack!*
Sakura flew backward, slamming hard into a tree trunk. Standing over her was the third Waterfall shinobi. Sakura was bruised, bleeding from a few shallow cuts, but she was stubbornly trying to drag herself back up to her feet.
"Stupid trash," the shinobi sneered. "Stay down and tell me where the scroll is "
"...Haa... haa... I won't let you interfere with Sasuke-kun's fight!" Sakura yelled back defiantly.
Looking down at Sakura who was bleeding and struggling with all her will , pnly so which he can continue his fight without inturruptions , Sasuke's eyes flickered and he thought
(...What a nuisance.)
As the enemy shinobi stepped toward Sakura to finish her off, a sudden, lethal volley of shuriken forced him to leap backward. Startled, the shinobi weaved through the blades, completely losing track of his positioning.
[ Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique! ]
The enemy looked up just in time to see a massive sphere of superheated flames engulfing his entire field of vision , In his desperation of dodging the shuriken's the enemy found all escape routes filled with shuriken or closed
"Fu—!"
*BOOM!*
The fireball detonated. Sasuke casually tossed a few more shuriken into the burning, screaming mess just to be sure. His Sharingan confirmed the enemy's chakra had flatlined. Satisfied, he dropped down to the forest floor and walked over to Sakura.
"...Sasuke-kun! I came to hel—"
"Shut up," Sasuke cut her off, Irriatatingly "I don't need anyone's help."
Sakura flinched, falling silent.
footsteps crunched through the brush. Sasuke and Sakura turned to see Naruto casually strolling into the clearing. In his hand, he was effortlessly dragging the unconscious—body of the shinobi who had run away from Sasuke earlier.
And It looks like Naruto had just come back from a light grocery trip.
"Yo."
Sasuke scowled. "...I told you—"
"Eh? But it was you who stopped chasing him," Naruto pointed out lazily, dropping the body.
"..."
"Also, what if that dude you just burned had their team's scroll?" Naruto asked, tilting his head. "If he did, you just burned it to ash."
"..."
Sasuke's eye twitched. Panic briefly flashed across his face as he hastily ran over to the charred corpse, desperately patting down the still-smoking pouches.
Naruto glanced at Sakura, who was looking down at the dirt.
(Sasuke looks perfectly fine even after getting his first real kills... what an Avenger. And Sakura, despite being surrounded by fresh corpses and witnessing a murder, is still only focused on Sasuke's harsh words.)
Reaching into his pocket, Naruto pulled out two scrolls. One was the Heaven scroll assigned to Team 7. The other was an Earth scroll he had looted from the very first shinobi Sasuke had killed and left behind.
"No need, I got it."
Sasuke snapped his head back, seeing the two scrolls dangling from Naruto's fingers. Understanding dawned on him, followed immediately by annoyance.
(...Always messing around.) Sasuke stood up, brushing the ash off his hands, and walked back over in silence. He didn't even bother asking why Naruto hadn't said anything earlier. He was too used to the blonde's teasing by now since Team 7's Assignment .
Sakura finally stood up, dusting herself off. "So, should we head to the tower directly?"
"...Hn. No need to waste time out here. The strong ones will gather at the tower anyway," Sasuke agreed.
"Hmm, then let's—"
Naruto's sentence died in his throat. Every single instinct in his body, violently amplified by his Wild Survivor passive, began screaming at him.
Without a microsecond of hesitation, Naruto lashed out. He kicked Sasuke hard in the chest, sending the Uchiha flying backward. At the exact same moment, his hand clamped onto Sakura's shoulder, violently shoving her out of the clearing.
Having pushed his teammates out of the immediate blast zone, Naruto squared up, directly facing the monstrous, roaring Wind current of chakra tearing through the forest toward them.
"Wha—?!" Sasuke yelled as he tumbled.
"Urghh!" Sakura cried out, hitting the dirt.
Before either of them could demand an explanation, a localized hurricane erupted. Raging, razor-sharp winds shredded the trees, carving a five-meter-deep trench directly through the spot they had just been standing on.
( What a greeting,) Naruto thought, his eyes narrowing against the gale up-front
The Sannin clearly knew Naruto's intelligence and threat on the team and was making absolutely sure that he couldn't interfere.
Seeing the concentrated Wind Release: Great Breakthrough bearing down on him, Naruto acted purely on instincts and thanks to his MindHub skill . He reached and , grabbed the unconsious Waterfall shinobi by the collar, and hoisted the body up like a meat shield.
The wind slammed into them like a freight train. Naruto and the Body were blown violently backward through the air. The body took the brunt of the damage, rapidly turning into a mangled, shredded mess as dozens of wind blades tore through its flesh.
Just as the momentum died and Naruto began to fall back toward the canopy, his Hound Senses picked up a foul, intensely fishy stench from behind.
Naruto twisted his neck. A giant, monstrous snake had silently lunged from the canopy, its massive jaws wide open, ready to swallow him mid-air.
*HISSSS! *
(...That's even bigger than the one in the Anaconda movie,) Naruto noted dryly.
Despite being suspended in mid-air, Naruto didn't panic. Using the mangled corpse he was holding as leverage, he planted his feet against its back and pushed off, throwing himself sideways toward a thick tree branch.
*Gulp.*
The snake's jaws snapped shut, swallowing the shredded Waterfall shinobi whole. It immediately turned its massive head toward Naruto, rearing back to strike.
But Looking At Naruto , The Snake seemed almost confused that its prey was looking back at it with fearless curiosity and amusement .
*BOOM!*
The giant snake's neck and jaw violently blew open from the inside out. When Naruto had kicked off the corpse, he had casually slapped a cluster of paper bombs onto it.
A shower of mangled flesh, scales, and bone rained down on the forest. Naruto dropped safely behind the cover of a massive tree trunk, his senses expanding rapidly in all directions
( Hmm , 4 Hostiles )
Two more giant snakes were slithering out of the woodwork to replace the dead one. And standing on the branches above them were Orochimaru's two Grass Genin goons.
(Hmm, this is...?)
Naruto's eyes locked onto the strange, cursed seal marks spreading across their skin.
(Curse Seals? ...What a drag.) Naruto quickly analyzed their State remembering the Original Canon.
Thanks to the Cursed seals, their Chakra reserves had spiked dangerously, putting them somewhere between Special Jonin and Jonin levels. Seeing this Naruto didn't panic but analysed silently
( Not the second stage of the Curse seal ........And a suuden burst like this will always have loose control .......... Finally in a battle of pure chakra quantity... I will always win.)
Naruto didn't bother drawing his sword. Instead, he reached to the pouches at his lower back, drawing his specialized, chakra-conductive kunai and tactical knife.

Thinking upto here , Naruto looked at the hostiles surrounding him from all sides, slowly but easily He formed a single-handed seal.
[ Shadow Clone Jutsu ]
Ten identical Narutos popped into existence, surrounding the original. He had allocated exactly 5% of his total chakra to each clone. Four clones immediately broke off to handle the snakes, while the other six locked eyes with the Curse Mark goons.
Naruto looked around the Forest and assigned Shadow clones for support while his main Body performed Hand-seals
[ Wind Release: Chakra Blade ]
Blue-white wind chakra ignited around Naruto's blades, humming like a chainsaw. He cracked his neck, looking toward the direction he had thrown his teammates.
(I just hope the Sannin isn't in a hurry to kiss Sasuke.)
While still performing Wind Release Jutsu ,Naruto's feet compressed Non-attribute Chakra and released it violently

The Clearing :
Sasuke dragged Sakura roughly by the arm, diving under a thick cluster of bushes and pulling her down flat against the dirt. He stayed completely prone, his Sharingan spinning frantically as he surveyed the absolute devastation in front of them.
The scale of the jutsu that had just leveled the clearing was horrific. It was easily on par with the Ninjutsu attacks Naruto had used against Kakashi during their bell test.
(...Someone on the same level as Naruto? ) Sasuke deduced, a cold sweat breaking out on his neck.
There was no doubt in his mind. If Naruto hadn't reacted, both he and Sakura would be Hit and incapcicated If not Dead.
Sasuke's fists clenched hard in the dirt with Worry. He knew that by saving them, Naruto hadn't had the time to form a proper defense for himself. He had taken that jutsu head-on.
(...But considering how annoying that guy is, he is definitely not down,) Sasuke reassured himself Hopefully
"What happened?!" Sakura whispered in a panic, trying to sit up.
Sasuke's eye twitched in profound irritation. He slapped his hand over Sakura's mouth, shoving her back down. "...Be silent," he hissed furiously.
Sakura froze. She could feel Sasuke-kun's bare hand pressed firmly against her lips. Her mind completely short-circuited. She forgot the explosion, the danger, and the exams entirely. Unconsciously, her mouth watered and Her thoughts drifted
( I wonder how Sasuke-kun tastes... hehe,) Sakura daydreamed, her eyes sliding shut in pure bliss.
Sasuke felt the wet slide against his skin. He violently shivered in disgust, immediately ripping his hand away and scooting backward. He was about to snap at her, but the sound of rustling leaves above them froze his blood.
A lone Kunoichi dropped down silently from a nearby tree, landing perfectly in the ruined clearing.
To Sasuke's hyper-aware senses, everything about this woman was fundamentally wrong. From the Headband, It was a Grass Kunoichi . She slowly turned her head toward the bushes where they were hiding, her eyes locking directly onto Sasuke.
A grotesquely long, serpentine tongue slid from her mouth, slowly licking her lips.
(Great,) Sasuke thought, sheer dread pooling in his stomach. (Another freak. And she feels just as strong as Naruto, if not worse... Fuck my life, why was I born with this face?)
"Not bad," the Kunoichi hissed, her voice raspy and echoing. "You are not tired from your earlier skirmish, nor have you let down your guard. This... will be fun."
Sasuke and Sakura scrambled out of the bushes, drawing their kunai. Sakura finally snapped out of her romantic trance, realizing the sheer, suffocating killing intent radiating from the woman in front of them .
Before either Genin could move, the Kunoichi lazily reached into her robes and pulled out an Earth Scroll.
"Haha. You want the scroll, don't you?"
Before Both of them could understand the question , Sasuke and Sakura watched in absolute horror as the Kusa Kunoichi unhinged her jaw, opened her mouth impossibly wide, wrapped her lips around the thick scroll, and...
GULP.
(This person is way too creepy...) Sakura thought, trembling violently.
Having swallowed the scroll whole in the most disgusting way imaginable, the Kunoichi's eyes curved into crescent moons.
"Well... let's begin the battle for the scrolls."

Author's notes :
I was pretty unsure for the sign-in reward , at first I wanted to give Naruto , something like Danger Sense , camaflouge or something similar or maybe Genjutsu .
But Naruto is already Op , and later it may get questioned about the usage of skill , So I decided to go with Wild Survivor / Survivalist
I also put some restrictions on Kagura's mind eye after thinking carefully .
Hmm , I don't know if what I wrote about Chakra sensing or hiding was ok , but It's impossible for there to be no countermeasures in Shinobi world for Chakra sensors .
Especially with Orochimaru's pervertness
And Just so you Guys Know , The Anbu didn't move because , in their eyes it's normal Chunin Exams , They also don't know cursed seal either .
