Chapter 257: Aishi 's Haki
"Hmm!"
"Sora…"
"Could it be that she can actually do it?!"
At that moment, with Aishi , Akatsuki , and Cole having confirmed their failure, only Sora remained standing still, eyes closed, seemingly deep in focus—truly constructing that special structure. The three watched her with curiosity, all coming to the same thought.
Maybe… just maybe… Sora was about to master Perfect Armament Haki.
Cole scratched his head, feeling a bit down and defeated.
Sister Aishi had mastered Rocks' unique Armament Haki, and now Sister Sora might be about to learn Luo Han's Perfect Armament Haki. Meanwhile, he still hadn't learned anything!
So frustrating!
Cole was ready to head back to Gourmet City and eat away his feelings.
"Could Sora really have grasped Perfect Armament Haki?!"
Luo Han was surprised and intrigued. He had sensed that Sora, at the beginning, had been just as lost as Akatsuki and the others when it came to his abstract explanation of "converting willpower into lines."
But as time went on, something seemed to shift.
Exactly what changed… only Sora herself could say.
Not long after—
Sora opened her eyes, a trace of confusion in her gaze.
She extended her right hand, and with a thought, a layer of invisible Armament Haki formed around it—about ten centimeters thick.
"Cole , use your Armament Haki and let Sora knock on it," Aishi instructed. She knew that Perfect Armament Haki produced a distinct sound when clashing with regular Haki.
"Okay!" Cole didn't ask why. He extended his right hand, covered in Haki, in front of Sora.
Sora, still slightly dazed, reached out and tapped it.
Ding ding ding!
Three clear, crisp sounds rang out.
"She did it!"
Aishi said excitedly, "That's the sound! When I knocked on Luo Han's Perfect Armament Haki before, it sounded just like that."
"I can't believe it, Sora—you really managed to form Perfect Armament Haki. I'm so jealous!"
"I hounded Luo Han for a year trying to learn it, and in the end I had to give up."
She sighed. "And you picked it up in one go…"
Heh!
Sora only smiled quietly. She was just as surprised—she had simply followed Luo Han's instructions and thought through the process. At some point, she felt something shift within her.
When the shift stopped, it was like she had suddenly mastered a new way of using Armament Haki.
When she opened her eyes and concentrated, it just… came out as Perfect Haki.
Honestly, she had been in a daze the whole time. She still couldn't even sense what "willpower lines" were supposed to look like.
When she explained this to Luo Han—
He fell silent. He couldn't figure it out either!
"Could it be that my Perfect Armament Haki—like Rocks'—is just a matter of luck?"
Just as this thought crossed his mind, Aishi , who had been quietly playing the background character, suddenly raised her hand, trembling.
"Luo Han!!"
Her face flushed, voice trembling sweetly, she said, "I think… I've also learned the Perfect Armament Haki!"
"Seriously?!"
"For real?!"
"You really did?!" Luo Han, Aishi , and Akatsuki all reacted in shock.
Cole quietly lowered his head, wondering whether he should eat Sea King meat or chicken for lunch.
In the face of their astonished voices, Aishi hesitated, then said, "Um… I think it's real. I… I'm pretty sure it is." Her voice firmed up at the end.
"Sigh!"
Aishi sighed deeply. Even Aishi could now form Perfect Armament Haki.
She was starting to doubt her own talent.
Sure, she had learned Rocks' special Haki—Chaotic Armament Haki—almost instantly.
But now…
Sigh! She was at a loss for words.
"Aishi , let's see it," Akatsuki said, still a bit discouraged herself, but eager to see what Aishi 's version looked like.
Maybe there'd be something she could learn from it—some clue to help her unlock Perfect Haki too.
After all, if Aishi —who had never activated any kind of Haki before—could do it on her first try, there was no way Queen Akatsuki would accept being outdone!
"Let's see it," Luo Han added, his eyes flashing with deep skepticism.
Could Aishi , with her notoriously weak willpower, really form Perfect Armament Haki???
"You…"
Aishi pointed a finger at Luo Han. His doubt was written all over his face, and she saw it clearly.
"Fine, I'll show you!"
Turning her head defiantly, Aishi focused hard, face turning even redder. Her chest heaved as if she were physically forcing something out.
"..."
Luo Han and the others were dumbfounded. If she really could form Perfect Haki, just do it normally.
Why did it look like she was squeezing out toothpaste?
"Maybe… we should wait until next time," Luo Han suggested gently, not wanting to hurt her pride. "If you can't form it, it's okay."
After all, mastering it and being able to use it were two very different things.
But just as he finished speaking—Aishi really did squeeze out a thin layer of Armament Haki.
About five millimeters thick!
"..."
"She actually formed Perfect Armament Haki!!"
Luo Han was amazed—but also deeply puzzled.
How was this possible?
Akatsuki couldn't do it—yet Aishi could?
Wasn't Perfect Armament Haki supposed to consume a massive amount of willpower?
Luo Han couldn't understand it and fell into deep thought.
Ding ding!
Aishi and Sora tapped each other's Haki. Sure enough—it made the exact same sound.
"Congratulations!"
Aishi hugged Aishi with a smile. "You're a powerhouse now! You can go wherever you want with Luo Han!"
"Congrats, Aishi !"
"Congratulations, Aishi !" Sora and Akatsuki echoed with warm smiles.
They all knew how much Aishi wanted to grow stronger—to go on adventures with Luo Han. Before, she was too weak, so Luo Han rarely brought her into dangerous situations.
But now, with Perfect Armament Haki—even if it was only a thin layer—not just anyone could break through it.
Aishi understood this best. The terrifying thing about Perfect Haki was:
Only someone with equal-tier Haki—like her Chaotic Haki—could wear it down.
Normal Armament Haki, no matter how much it struck, couldn't even scratch it after ten straight days of assault.
That was why Aishi could now be considered a true powerhouse.
"Luo Han?"
"Why do you look so unhappy?" Aishi asked, noticing how quiet he'd become.
"…Nothing!" Luo Han snapped out of it and smiled. "I'm really happy. With Perfect Haki and the telekinetic armor mode, Aishi can go wherever she wants now."
As soon as he finished—
"Then I want to go find Big Sis!" Aishi blurted out eagerly.
She missed her big sister—it had been over a year since they'd last met.
"Let Aishi go with you," Luo Han said.
He still wasn't totally at ease. That area was too close to the World Government's influence.
"Alright," Aishi said, turning to Aishi . "Let's go visit her tomorrow."
"Okay!" Aishi beamed with joy.
"Anything else?" Sora asked, turning to Luo Han. "If not, I'll head back to Island No. 7."
