"Hmph, I will admit you are a pretty strong mage. Still, you are human and I have transcended humanity."
Dio tossed aside the husk of the guard he just drained of blood. His body that once was shattered returned to its peak and didn't look like he had a scratch on him. It was actually probably better than before as Dio grinned as he kicked off the ground.
Blurring in speed to most, Dio launched towards the other nearby guards. Clearly he wanted to continue absorbing their blood. Either it was to saturate his hunger or to experiment with his new body.
Both of which ignored the possibility that Felix would or could stand in his way. Thus, much to Dio's surprise, Felix appeared next to him in a burst of speed and delivered a heavy kick to his face. His face deformed slightly as his body went forward while his head snapped back until his body realized what happened.
Bam!
Dio after taking such a kick did a full one eighty as his feet were raised up and his head smashing into the ground. Confusion filled his arrogant eyes as he couldn't understand what had just happened to him. One such question is how could Felix move so quickly and the other is why are his feet in the air.
Felix quickly followed up his attack by spinning the ice sword in his hand and brought it down at Dio's face. He went to end this fight, but Dio, being as smart as he is, quickly began adapting to his body. So, before the ice sword could pierce his eye and head.
It shattered.
From Dio's eyes, a thin stream of his blood short forth like high pressure water shattering the sword and aiming to take Felix's arm or at least his hand.
Felix let go of the sword as he stomped the ground and spikes of red ice erupted from the ground. The ice pierced Dio's body and rapidly began to freeze him into an ice cube.
"No, my fortune telling skills can't be wrong."
Suddenly the arrogant fortune teller shouted. In his hand there was a torch he seemed to have made himself with a torn sleeve of his clothes. Then under everyone's eyes, he began lighting everything that would burn turning the room full of death and horror into a burning inferno.
"Jonathan, stop him." Felix shouted.
Thanks to the rapidly rising temperature, the ice magic began to slow down. While it won't hinder his ice magic too much, thanks to shouted out to Jonathan. Dio twisted his body breaking the ice spikes through his body.
Dio quickly began to pull out the ice spikes in his body allowing the coldness not to penetrate deeper into his body. Still, due to being technically an undead at this point, the dispelling of the coldness that penetrated his body wasn't quick.
"It looks like I will do this round, Ice Mage." Dio grinned as he spread his arms as flames surrounded the room. "Soon, you will suffocate or be burned to death."
"What makes you think I only know Ice Magic?" Felix said. "I just didn't want to destroy the place."
Dio's smile froze as he looked at Felix's blank face despite being dressed as a jester. An eerie feeling filled him as the room began to tremble. Then as if a shadow engulfed his opponent, Dio felt a heavy pressure pressing down on him as the ground cracked.
"Impossible. How can you be so strong as a human?" Dio growled.
"Dio, is it that I am strong or you're just weak?" Felix answered.
Felix felt that Dio could outclass most normal men, but compared to a strong mage. He wasn't all that impressive if he couldn't get close to them. For his main strength is his ample speed and strength alongside his will to continue to improve himself.
Still, for the last one, Dio will need time and Felix wasn't about to let him have it. So under his command, Felix raised his hand and all the fire in the room gathered around Dio. Then as he grasped his hand, it condensed around Dio who screamed in agony.
"I will not die!" Dio roared unwillingly.
Despite how condensed he tried to make the flames, they were after all just normal flames. So, Dio rushed out like a human torch as his body was covered in fire. His skin burnt badly as he rushed at the guards in an attempt to drain their blood to heal himself.
"Wood Magic: Wood Vine Binding."
From the floorboards, thick vines rapidly rose grabbing Dio's legs. Then, Felix spread his arms wide as he began his next magic.
"Wood Magic: Wood Spike Explosion."
From the binding vines, spikes exploded out in all directions directly piercing Dio's body.
"Urgh!"
Dio screamed in agony as unwillingness filled his face while unrelenting fury. Still, Felix didn't show much emotion as the fire once more engulfed Dio as Felix commanded it. This time, he added his own fire magic to it, turning it from orange to blue as Dio's body rapidly began to burn away.
"Felix, I will have my revenge!" Dio screamed.
Then in a puff, Dio was gone and from the window, a gust dispersed his ashes throughout the room.
"Is it over?" Jonathan asked.
He returned to the room with the fortune teller whose head was beaten black and blue. Jonathan had a few scraps himself, but nothing compared to the fortune teller. Where he handed the man off to the remaining guards who were trembling.
"For now." Felix answered.
"Thank you, Felix." Jonathan said as he let out a sigh of relief.
Felix then looked around the destroyed room and the still burning furniture. As long as he doesn't need to pay for the repairs, he will take it.
--
After sending away the guards, Jonathan and Felix remained at the mansion. Besides a few staff who were moving what they could as they needed to wait until morning for an inspector to come. For quite a bit of the house was burned after setting the room on fire in hopes of freeing Dio. The Fortune Teller ran out with Jonathan following behind, lighting up the rest of the mansion wherever he passed.
While the building is still standing due to Felix gathering the flames. The fire did burn quite a bit of the mansion and if it will continue to stand or need to be torn down. It will depend on how the inspection will go.
"I guess this marks the end of the request." Jonathan said.
"Mmm. The request is to help research the stone mask. We now know what it is for." Felix nodded.
"Dio said he would be back. Is it still possible for him to return?" Jonathan asked, a bit worried.
"It's not impossible." Felix shrugged. "If he comes, I will just beat him again."
Most of his struggle in that fight came from not wanting to destroy the entire mansion. Otherwise, how could Dio fight back so many times? Felix didn't put his full strength into it and just releasing some of his magic, Dio trembled.
"Not impossible huh." Jonathan frowned. "If Dio says he will return, then he will. Even as bad as he was, he tends to keep his word. Especially for those that get under his skin."
Felix just shrugged. There wasn't much use in worrying about what tomorrow will hold since if trouble comes to him, he will handle it. While his enemies who may want revenge are improving, so is he.
"If he returns, I will be there to help you." Jonathan made a promise.
