Groups of awakened guards numbering in the hundreds were responding to alarms wailing through the corridors of a space station orbiting a binary star. The Ring of Council, RiCo, was alive with guards rushing to intercept a fugitive that had escaped sentencing. The merchant stalls had all closed, as was the protocol in such cases. Civilians who had been minding there own business had been rushed to side corridors by some of the guards to both protect them and clear the potential battle ground. Finally, the first of the guards to respond had encircled a set of elevator doors with their weapons drawn and trained on the elevator.

"Dammit!" Jack slammed his fist into the wall of the elevator carrying him down.
Jack had spent an upwards of thirty minutes looking for a secondary exit, but learned that even the councilors use the main, and only, entrance and exit to the Council Chambers. Hoping that he would have enough time, he took the elevator, unfortunately his Bondage skill could had a fixed range, and even though he bound and gagged the councilors and the guards in the council chamber, he had passed the maximum range allowing the victims of his skill to be freed. The human councilor immediately sounded the alarms.
"Act as you normally would, and don't draw any suspicion. Even if you have yo re-detain me." Jack mentally commanded ATOM Shrikna.
As the elevator came to a halt at the bottom, and the doors opened, Jack found himself facing down hundreds of pulse rifles, all of them pointed at him. Since the only other option was death, Jack raised his hands in defeat. No one moved for the longest time until the elevator made a round trip back down carrying three guards, including ATOM Shrikna, and all nine councilors. Shrikna carried out Jack's orders and re-detained thr latter.

"He might be useful. He can bind and gag his opponents, drain his opponents cultivation, and can even seal someone's awakened state permanently."
By now, reports of Tanner's permanently sealed state had reached the ears of the council, and Councilor Vrel'na of the Crynthillians, a species that looked like a cross between living crystals and a Komodo Dragon, the councilor who allowed Jack to speak, was thinking of ways that someone of his talent could be useful for the council. She waited for the elevator to reach the bottom and didn't waste time when ATOM Shrikna began to re-detain Jack.
"ATOM Shrikna, there's no point in attempting to bind the young man. After all, bindings have no effect on him." Councilor Vrel'na, commented before addressing Jack. "Young man, if you would agree to return with us to the council chamber, I'm sure we can come to an agreement as to how we proceed from here." Councilor Vrel'na's words were chosen carefully.
"Fine, but I refuse to be imprisoned for a skill the The System granted me."
