Angel was excited for Sarah and asked her what happened next.
Sarah shrugged, looking a little gloomy. "Nothing really happened," she replied. "He just left, and I came to you."
"Oh," Angel said softly, then cheered her up. She smiled and told Sarah to go sit down and wait for the next exam paper. Sarah nodded, her mood lifting slightly.
Shortly after, the invigilator came in with the question papers. They were handed out, students' ID cards were checked, and the exam began.
Three hours later, the paper was over. Everyone went downstairs for a short break before returning upstairs to continue the next part of the exam.
As they arrived, Sarah looked around, panic written all over her face. She couldn't find her chair and was close to tears. Angel noticed immediately and started calming her down, speaking softly until Sarah relaxed.
They both went to report the missing chair to a teacher. The teacher instructed them to retrieve it from the back of the hall.
Relieved, they went and found the chair, solving the problem.
On their way back, they noticed David entering the hall.
As he passed by, their eyes met—Angel's and his. But for a brief moment, she couldn't tell who he had made eye contact with. The thought stayed in her mind, lingering long after he had walked past. She couldn't get it out of her head.
