Her grip did not weaken, as if she feared losing me.
Yet, everything about his attitude screamed the opposite.
His shoulder was outstretched.
Her jaw was clenched, and every time she felt my gaze on her, she pulled even harder on my hand.
"Stop looking at people with those evil eyes," she spat at me with obvious irritation.
I stopped abruptly and sighed.
–... You're still pretty close to someone you hate
She narrowly missed a step and immediately tensed up
"Seriously," she said sarcastically.
The cars passed slowly under the yellow evening lights, the windows reflecting the neon lights, and for a second the atmosphere was calm, giving me a slight feeling of comfort.
But everything became blurry; she immediately resumed walking, pulling me through the speeding cars.
"Are you crazy?" I shouted in a panic.
– You don't know how to cross?
But as usual, she makes fun of me, puts on her angry face, and drags me through street after street without even bothering to explain anything to me.
It's very exciting
Laughing at this crazy woman in my head
– (I don't find that funny)
Go ahead and laugh, don't be uptight
The further we went, the louder the city noise became, and a salty smell washed over my face.
The sea
You never really paid attention to that corner, no wonder I never left that house.
In front of us, the lights of a huge, dilapidated building shone, hidden among these tall palm trees; it shone so brightly that it eclipsed all the surroundings.
The music could even be heard from inside.
She pulled me inside and climbed the first steps without hesitation. We passed by the main entrance, which led us to a small exit, so she pushed the door open to the side.
The heat hit me immediately.
What the hell is going on?
Inside, chaos
There were so many people packed together, the music was loud but the laughter managed to drown it out.
A thick, suffocating white smoke hung over the dance floor, the bass made my heart tremble, and finally it was I who shook his hand.
"Why did you bring me here?" I whispered near his ear.
But she kept moving forward, weaving along the walls, passing between some who were so stoned they were sleeping on the spot, so she was just pretending not to have heard my question.
- hé!
Still no response.
The path seemed longer and longer, but finally she stopped and took a narrower, darker corridor, far removed from the atmosphere.
She turned towards me and looked deep into my eyes, then whispered
–.... I just wanted to piss you off.
Laughing, she immediately pulled me close and pushed open the small door
Surprise
Silence fell.
One room, a rather private and quite spacious room, black leather sofa and dim lighting, an open bottle scattered on the coffee table, not forgetting its green plants in every corner of the room.
The party
– (at their age…)
I felt a wave of heat wash over me, all their eyes fell on us or rather… on me.
Those who jumped, stopped, those who sang, ate or danced all looked petrified like statues.
I stopped too, just as surprised as she was.
–.... hein!
Maëva, for her part, let go of me and sat down on one side of the sofa as if everything was normal.
The smallest girl in the group moved closer and raised her eyebrows, then burst into laughter of surprise.
– Wait… is that him?
