Cecilia Adler put the Termitomyces mushrooms back in her room and went into the bathroom to wash up.
While Cecilia was soaking her feet, Vivian Lee pushed the door open. Dripping with jealousy, she sneered, "Cecilia Adler, don't think you can win Dad over just because I've had a setback and he's mad at me. Impossible! Everything in this family will be mine someday. You're just a pawn to be traded for benefits. In the end, you'll be left with nothing."
"You're insane!" Cecilia cursed.
'How could I not know I'm a pawn?' She'd known it since the day of her engagement. She was perfectly aware of her position. "Who cares about your things?"
She had never been one for handouts.
She fought for everything she wanted herself.
