Vivian Lee ached all over. "BOOHOO... Why didn't you tell me he hits people?"
"Why hasn't he hit me?"
"How dare you say that?" Vivian Lee's tears streamed down her face.
"He's never hit me, so what is there to say? You should leave. I'll see you out." Cecilia Adler went into the kitchen and pushed down the damper on the stove.
Vivian Lee didn't dare to linger. She put on her coat and limped downstairs with Cecilia Adler.
They arrived at the building's entrance.
As Cecilia Adler prepared to turn back, Vivian Lee asked pitifully, "Aren't you going to see me all the way out?"
Cecilia Adler said, "Isn't this far enough? Give me your access card. Otherwise, I'll tell my mother-in-law that Ian Quincy beat you. She spoils her son rotten. It won't matter if it was your fault or not; she'll blame you for Ian losing his cool. Then she'll contact your dad, and this whole thing will blow up."
