Cecilia was baffled by his laughter. Knowing she was in the wrong, she didn't dare ask any questions and just said, "Where is the stuff? I'll go to the post office tomorrow and send it back."
"I already sent it back. I went to the post office myself." Jim Quincy said, his tone halfway between a reminder and a warning, "Stay out of the black market, and stop messing around with that blasted hair growth cream! Even if you insist on making it, you can only let family use it. You can go now."
"Oh." Cecilia meekly agreed and left the room.
Mrs. Quincy beckoned for her to sit down and brought up the matter of the rabbits, criticizing her two sons' behavior. "Those boys are just too much. I'll have Aunt Goldsmith keep an eye out at the market tomorrow when she's shopping. If she sees anyone selling rabbits, I'll have her buy you two new ones."
Cecilia was about to refuse.
