"You don't want it?"
"Who said I don't?" Titus Shaw quickly took it. "I'll go put this in my room." 'It's a pen from my daughter; I have to keep it safe.'
When he returned to the living room, the spot on the sofa was empty. "Cecilia."
He called out twice.
Then he turned to ask the housekeeper.
The housekeeper said, "She was just here. Where did she go?"
"Could she have left?"
"No way. Her things are still here, and Ian is still upstairs," the housekeeper said.
Titus Shaw started calling for her.
Cecilia Adler came out of the bathroom. "I just went to the restroom. What are you shouting for?" 'Ugh, this is another reason I don't like coming here. He's always calling, 'Cecilia, Cecilia...''
'Like a constant chant.'
The housekeeper chuckled. "See? I told you she wouldn't just leave."
Titus Shaw cleared his throat, hiding his embarrassment. "I was looking for you because I want to teach you how to drive."
