Dylan Zane took the paper from Aiden Shaw and rose from the bedside. "Then I'll have to trouble you, Dr. Shaw."
"It's no trouble. If there's nothing else, my wife and I will leave the boy to rest."
"Okay."
As Laura Lowell brushed past Yvonne Sloan, she suddenly stopped and turned to face her. "Even if no one else sees, heaven does. Sooner or later, you'll get what's coming to you."
"LoriaLaura, I know you can't stand me, but I swear, I absolutely didn't..."
"We both know perfectly well who pushed that child. Do enough evil, and even heaven itself will lose its patience."

Dylan Zane sat back down by the hospital bed and leaned over to stroke the little one's face. "Are you hungry? Daddy will have the housekeeper bring some food over."
