Laura Lowell waved at Mindy Miller, and just as she was opening the door, Aiden Shaw walked in. "Where are you off to?"
"The hospital. Zachary Redgrave and I arranged to go teach that fake angel a lesson and get some payback for Hannah Hale."
Aiden Shaw frowned slightly, relieved he had returned just in time. "I'll go with you. When did you get up? Have you had breakfast?"
Mindy Miller set down the flowers she was holding and walked over. "Aiden, this girl was insisting on leaving without even eating breakfast. You need to talk some sense into her."
"Breakfast is important. You can't skip it. We'll go to the hospital after you've eaten."
Laura Lowell glanced down at her watch. It was already almost eleven. "Why don't we just grab something on the way? We'll save time."
"Okay, fine."
Aiden Shaw reached out and buttoned up Laura's coat, then indulgently took her small hand in his. "Mom, we'll get going then."
