"Hee hee hee hee." After hearing Joan Shaw's animated tale, Felicity covered her mouth and giggled.
She pulled on Sarah's hand. Sarah lowered her head. "Fine. I'll trust you one last time. If you dare lie to us, we'll have a witch curse you."
"Deal. Let's make a pinky promise. A hundred years, no take-backs!" Joan Shaw held out her hand, raising her pinky and hooking it with the two children's.
Of course, she still remembered the children's wishes. She wanted to help them out before she left.
"So, do you two want to see what Santa Claus brought you?" Joan Shaw asked, shaking the stockings in her hand.
Felicity looked at her with pure innocence. "Why do you have Santa's gifts? Daddy said that if we're awake at night, Santa won't come. So we're not getting any gifts from Santa tonight..." Her voice trailed off, and she looked a little sad.
"It's because you two wouldn't go to sleep! Santa got mad, so he left the presents in my room instead."
"Really?"
