Chapter 119 - CHAPTER 120: EMPERORS CLASH

CHAPTER 120: EMPERORS CLASH

The tension on the ship shifted as Ember and Katakuri, despite being enemies, found themselves momentarily united in their wariness of the white-haired Admiral. But old habits died hard, and their mutual hostility quickly resurfaced.

"Obviously, Kaido-sama is stronger," Ember growled, his eyes fixed on Katakuri. "He's invincible. Even that Admiral couldn't truly hurt him."

Katakuri's expression remained impassive behind his scarf. "Mother has ruled the seas for decades. Her strength is absolute. Kaido has never faced anyone like her."

"He faced Whitebeard!"

"Mother fought Roger."

The argument escalated, voices rising, until Satoru finally intervened with a long-suffering sigh.

"Both of you, shut up." He didn't raise his voice, but something in his tone made them both pause. "You're arguing like children. In a few minutes, you'll have your answer. Just watch."

As if on cue, both Ember and Katakuri felt it—two immense presences hurtling toward Wheat Island from opposite directions. The very air seemed to vibrate with their approach.

The sky darkened.

Clouds gathered, churning and boiling as if responding to some primal summons. Lightning flickered within them, and a deep rumble echoed across the sea.

Then Kaido descended.

His massive dragon form broke through the clouds, scales gleaming with an otherworldly light. He circled once, twice, then transformed mid-air—scales melting into skin, form condensing into the massive, horned figure of the Beast Emperor. He landed on Wheat Island with an impact that sent shockwaves across the water.

"Tch." Kaido's voice carried easily across the distance. "That old woman is late. As always."

On Ember's ship, the All-Star shot Katakuri a triumphant look. "See? Kaido-sama arrived first. That proves his superiority."

Katakuri didn't even glance at him. "Speed proves nothing except speed. Perhaps Kaido is simply faster at running away."

"What did you say?!"

Before the argument could restart, another voice boomed across the water.

"Kaido!"

Big Mom descended from the opposite direction, riding a rolling cloud, her massive form landing on Wheat Island with enough force to crack the ground. Her eyes blazed with battle lust, and her smile was wide and terrible.

"Old woman." Kaido hefted his massive kanabo, lightning crackling around its spiked head. "I'm going to enjoy beating you into the ground."

"Foolish words!" Big Mom drew Napoleon, the living hat transforming into a massive blade. "I'll show you what true power looks like!"

The air between them shattered.

Conqueror's Haki erupted from both Emperors in waves so dense they became visible—black-red lightning arcing across the sky, splitting clouds, shaking the very foundations of the island. The pressure was immense, crushing, absolute.

On the surrounding ships, pirates began to collapse. Dozens fell first, then hundreds. Even strong crew members clutched their heads, fighting to stay conscious. The weaker ones simply dropped where they stood.

Katakuri's own Conqueror's Haki flared instinctively, shielding him from the worst of it. But even he could feel the weight of two Emperors' wills clashing. It was like standing at the bottom of the ocean.

Ember, lacking Conqueror's Haki entirely, gritted his teeth and endured. Sweat beaded on his forehead. His hands trembled slightly.

And through it all, Satoru watched.

He sat on the railing, utterly relaxed, as if two Emperors weren't trying to crush the world with their presence. His Infinity filtered out the pressure completely. To him, this was just a show.

"Magnificent," he murmured, a genuine smile playing at his lips. "Absolutely magnificent."

On the island, the Emperors moved.

Kaido struck first—a massive overhead swing of his kanabo, lightning screaming in its wake. "Thunder Bagua!"

Big Mom met it with Napoleon, her blade coated in the same crackling darkness. "Ikoku Sovereignty!"

The weapons collided.

The sound was indescribable—a thunderclap that seemed to come from everywhere at once, that vibrated in bones and rattled teeth. The shockwave flattened everything within a hundred meters. The ground split. Rocks flew. The sea around the island rose up in massive waves, slamming against the surrounding ships.

Satoru's eyes widened behind his blindfold. This is just their opening exchange. No Conqueror's infusion yet. No serious techniques. Just pure, physical power.

And it was already devastating.

Kaido and Big Mom separated, then crashed together again. Fist met fist. Weapon met weapon. Each impact sent another shockwave across the water, another crack through the island's already broken surface.

They fought like gods. Like forces of nature given human form.

Around them, the weather itself began to respond to their battle. The sky, already dark, grew darker still. Lightning struck the island repeatedly, as if the heavens themselves were joining the fight. Rain began to fall—then hail, then some strange mixture of both.

"This is..." Ember couldn't finish the thought. He had seen Kaido fight before, but never like this. Never against an equal.

Katakuri's expression was similarly affected. His future sight showed him possibilities—Mother's attacks, Kaido's counters, outcomes branching and splitting. But the sheer scale of the battle made predictions difficult. Too many variables. Too much power.

Satoru absorbed it all. His Six Eyes recorded every detail, every movement, every technique. This is what the top looks like. This is what I need to reach.

He had fought Kaido before, yes. But that had been a drunk Emperor, more interested in testing than killing. This was different. This was Kaido at war.

On the island, the Emperors continued their dance of destruction. Kaido's kanabo smashed craters into the earth. Big Mom's Napoleon carved trenches through solid rock. They bled—both of them bled—but neither slowed.

They couldn't. At this level, slowing meant losing.

"Thunder Bagua!"

"Ikoku Sovereignty!"

Again and again their attacks met, the shockwaves growing more intense, the island crumbling further. Wheat Island, once a respectable landmass, was being systematically destroyed beneath them.

Satoru leaned forward slightly, anticipation building. When will they use Conqueror's infusion? When will they stop testing and start fighting for real?

As if in answer, the nature of the battle shifted.

The next exchange was different. When Kaido's kanabo met Big Mom's Napoleon, there was no shockwave. No thunder. Just a terrible, silent pressure that made the world hold its breath.

Black-red lightning, darker and denser than before, erupted from the point of impact.

Conqueror's Haki infusion.

The ground beneath them didn't just crack—it ceased to exist, vaporized by the force of two Emperors' wills colliding. A crater formed instantly, expanding outward as the pressure continued.

"That's it," Satoru breathed. "That's the real fight."

Around him, the remaining conscious pirates watched in stunned silence. Even Katakuri, with all his experience, seemed affected by the sight.

Then, a voice.

"Admiral White Dragon."

Satoru didn't turn. He had sensed the presence the moment it appeared. "CP0. You have terrible timing."

The white-cloaked figure stood behind him, masked face unreadable. "Perhaps. But I bring an observation, not a request."

"Then observe and leave."

The figure's hidden eyes swept across the battling Emperors, then back to Satoru. "If these two destroy each other—if they emerge weakened and vulnerable—you have the power to end them both. Two Emperors, eliminated in one stroke. The World Government would be... grateful."

Satoru's expression didn't change. "Is that an order?"

"A suggestion. Nothing more." The figure's tone carried a subtle poison. "Of course, if you choose not to act when the opportunity presents itself... questions might be asked. About your loyalty. About your priorities."

There it is. Satoru's jaw tightened almost imperceptibly. They're still angry about White Fox. About the humiliation. This is their revenge—putting me in a position where I either fight two Emperors alone or look like a traitor.

Before he could respond, both Katakuri and Ember turned.

"What did you say?" Katakuri's voice was ice.

Ember's hand was already on his sword. "Repeat that."

The CP0 agent smiled behind his mask—Satoru could feel it. "I was merely discussing possibilities with the Admiral. Surely you understand—in war, one must consider all outcomes."

Katakuri moved.

His fist, transformed into mochi and hardened with Armament Haki, shot toward the agent's chest. Ember's blade followed a split second later, aimed at the agent's throat.

Both attacks passed through empty air.

The agent's image flickered, then reformed several meters away. "Hasty. And unnecessary." His hidden gaze found Satoru again. "Consider my words, Admiral. The World Government watches. Always."

Then he was gone—a flicker of white, then nothing.

Katakuri and Ember stood frozen for a moment, then slowly turned to face Satoru. Their expressions had changed. The wariness was still there, but now it was mixed with something else.

Suspicion.

"The World Government wants you to kill them," Katakuri said quietly. "Both of them. If they weaken each other enough."

Satoru didn't deny it. "The World Government wants a lot of things. I'm not obligated to deliver."

Ember's grip on his sword tightened. "And if they order you to?"

"Then I'll have a decision to make." Satoru met their gazes calmly. "But right now, no orders have been given. Right now, I'm just watching a fight. Same as you."

Katakuri studied him for a long moment. His future sight showed possibilities—Satoru attacking, Satoru fleeing, Satoru doing nothing at all. The futures split and merged, too many to track.

Finally, he nodded slowly. "Then watch, Admiral. But know this—if you move against Mother, you move against me."

Ember said nothing, but his stance made his position clear.

Satoru smiled, and it was almost genuine. "Noted. Now—" he turned back to the island, "—the show's getting good. Don't you want to watch?"

Reluctantly, their attention returned to the battle.

On Wheat Island, Kaido and Big Mom had escalated further. Conqueror's-infused blows rained down on each other, each strike carrying the weight of absolute sovereignty. The island was barely recognizable now—just a crumbling platform for their conflict.

And Satoru watched, his Six Eyes recording everything, even as he felt the trap closing around him.

CP0 wants me to fight them both. If I refuse, I'm a traitor. If I try and fail, I'm dead. If I try and succeed...

He didn't finish the thought. Because succeeding meant killing two Emperors. And even at full power, against two fresh Emperors, that was far from certain.

But they won't be fresh, will they? His eyes tracked the battle, noting every wound, every sign of exhaustion. If they fight long enough, hard enough... maybe.

It was a terrible calculation. And he hated that he was making it.

But the World Government had given him no choice.

On the island, the Emperors fought on, oblivious to the political games playing out around them. And Satoru watched, waiting for an outcome he couldn't predict, hoping for a solution that wouldn't force his hand.

Behind him, Katakuri and Ember watched too—enemies temporarily united by a common threat, ready to act if the Admiral did.

The storm raged on.
