The High Council Headquarters (The Inner Sanctum):
The room was dimly lit, filled with floating holographic screens and elderly council members who looked like they hadn't smiled since the Stone Age. Lucian stood at the center, looking incredibly professional in his black robes.
Inside, he was doing a mental victory dance because his new SS-Rank mana was humming in his veins like a sports car.
Council Elder: "Report, Inquisitor Lucian. Did you find the 'Void Hero' at the Academy? Our sensors indicated a massive spike in that specific district."
Lucian: (Keeping a perfectly straight face) "I have bad news, Elders. I investigated every inch of that Academy. The 'Void Hero' was actually a temporary manifestation of a Primordial Rift. It wasn't a person at all, but a sentient mana-storm that dissipated after neutralizing the fakes."
Council Elder: "And the students? The two boys we flagged, Alex and Allen?"
Lucian: (Letting out a fake, weary sigh) "Total dead ends. I monitored them for 24 hours. Alex spent six hours trying to balance a pencil on his nose and the other eighteen sleeping. Allen... well, I watched him wait in line for three hours just to get a 'limited edition' strawberry donut. They are remarkably... useless."
Council Elder: "Hmph. Very well. Continue your surveillance of the girls, Serina and Evelyn. They are the only ones with actual potential."
Lucian: "Understood. I shall keep a close... very close... eye on them." 😆 (Inner thoughts: And by 'surveillance,' I mean I'm going to ask them to let me play their video games.)
The "Normal" Day at the House:
Back at the apartment, the world-ending tension had been replaced by the most intense battle of all: The Saturday Chore List.
Serina: (Holding a mop like a spear) "Alex! I don't care if you're the 'Beginning and the End,' if you don't take out the trash, I'm going to 'Void-Step' your bed into the middle of the ocean!"
Alex: (Lying on the couch, wearing sunglasses indoors) "Serina, you're missing the big picture. If I move too much, I'll disturb the gravitational constant of the room. I'm actually doing the planet a favor by being lazy."
Evelyn: (Walking in with a basket of laundry, her face still slightly red every time she looks at Alex) "I'll do the trash. Just... Alex, can you at least help me fold these? The mana-static in your clothes makes them stick together."
Alex: "See? Evelyn understands the struggle of being highly conductive."
As Alex sat up to help, his hand brushed against Evelyn's while they both reached for a hoodie. Evelyn froze. She could feel the faint, humming power of a God beneath his skin, but also the warmth of a normal boy.
Evelyn: (Jerking her hand back) "I—I got it! Go back to your 'gravitational' nap! You're folding them wrong anyway! You're supposed to fold the sleeves in, not just roll them into a ball!"
Serina: (Watching from the corner, deadpan) 😑 "Evelyn, you're holding that shirt upside down."
The Arrival of the Butler-Spy:
There was a frantic knock at the door. Alex opened it to find Lucian, who was carrying ten bags of high-end takeout and a brand-new coffee machine.
Lucian: "My Lord Aziel! I have successfully misled the Council! I told them you were a sentient storm and that you, Lord Allen, were a donut-obsessed civilian!"
Allen: (Suddenly appearing behind Alex) "I mean... the donut part wasn't a lie. Did you bring the spicy ramen I asked for?"
Lucian: "Of course! I used the Council's 'Secret Mission Fund' to buy the entire menu of the 5-star restaurant downtown! Consider it a tribute!"
Alex: "Nice. Lucian, you're growing on me. Now, since you're an SS-Ranker, go help Serina mop the kitchen. Use your 'Snake-Shadow' dash to make it go faster."
Lucian: "An SS-Ranker... mopping? ...AS YOU WISH, MY LORD!" 😆
The Ending Scene:
While Lucian was literally blurring around the kitchen with a mop, and Allen was happily slurping ramen, Alex leaned against the balcony, looking at the city.
Alex: "Hey, Evelyn?"
Evelyn, who was trying to hide behind her History textbook, looked up. "Yeah?"
Alex: "Thanks for covering for me with the trash. You're a lot more helpful than my sister."
Evelyn: (Hiding her smile behind the book) "Whatever. Just don't make it a habit, God of Laziness."
She turned the page, but she wasn't reading. She was thinking about how, despite the chaos and the secret identities, this "Dangerous House" was starting to feel like the only place she ever wanted to be.
