Chapter 1 - Arrival Of Infinite Record

"For murdering four innocent people in cold blood, Xavier Crownheart is sentenced to one thousand years of rigorous imprisonment…"

The judge's words echoed through Xavier's mind like a curse that refused to fade.

Although it had been some time, the memory of that cursed day were still fresh in his mind.

Xavier used to be normal young man working hard to get a job, so that he can support his younger sister's education.

However Everything changed when he said No to the Morgans, a wealthy and influential family.

Just because he refuses to sell his family last remaining property Xavier life was completely flipped over.

Now, within the cold confines of Ravenstone Penitentiary—one of largest maximum-security prisons, built to house more than a thousand inmates—Xavier pressed his palms to the hard floor of his isolated cell.

"Ninety-eight… ninety-nine… one hundred."

His voice came out steady, unshaken. Sweat streamed down from his jet-black hair, tracing the sharp lines of his face before falling to the ground. His muscles trembled under the weight of exhaustion, veins bulging like cords of steel. The pain in his arms burned like molten lead—but he didn't stop.

"Continue," he muttered under his breath, his tone cold, emotionless. "Don't even think about stopping."

The sound of distant footsteps echoed in the corridor outside. Then came a voice, dripping with disdain.

"Trying to act tough, huh, kid?"

Xavier didn't bother responding. He recognized the voice—it belonged to the scum in the opposite cell, a man who found pleasure in taunting others. Still, Xavier's brows twitched, a shadow of irritation crossing his face.

The inmate chuckled darkly. "No fun as always, huh? But hey, you've been good entertainment lately. Let me fill you in on something interesting. I heard a UN human rights committee came today to inspect this shithole—some report about 'inhumane conditions' and 'animal treatment.' And rumor has it…" His tone turned sleazy. "The leader of the committee is one smoking-hot babe."

He laughed crudely, the sound echoing down the dim corridor.

Then, lowering his voice to a knife's edge, he continued, "Tell me, kid… was it the disappointment in your actions that caused your parents to abondon—"

Bang!

The deafening sound of a fist slamming against steel shattered the air.

Xavier's bloodied knuckles pressed hard against the cold bars. His face was a portrait of restrained rage, his voice sharp enough to cut bone.

"Utter one more word about my parents…"

The man's grin widened. He leaned forward, pretending to cup his ear. "What was that? Can't hear you, kid." His eyes gleamed with malice. "Oh right—didn't you have a little sister too? Did she also—"

That was as far as he got before the ground beneath them lurched violently.

The world convulsed. The iron bed crashed against the wall. The toilet exploded, spraying filthy water. Mark—the middle-aged inmate—barely managed to grab the bars to steady himself.

Xavier's head exploded with pain. A sharp, piercing agony shot through his skull as if invisible needles were stabbing his brain. His vision blurred, and the color drained from his face. Only sheer will kept him from collapsing.

After what felt like an eternity, the trembling ceased.

A silence heavier than death fell over the prison—brief, suffocating, the kind that came just before a storm.

Then, the first screams erupted.

Panic spread like wildfire through the corridors.

Xavier leaned against the wall, his breath uneven. And then—something impossible happened.

Blue screens blinked into existence before his eyes.

[This world is now under the jurisdiction of the Infinite Record.]

"What is this..?" He questioned out loud, however before he could make sense of the situation, suddenly a violent tremor caused the entire room to shake, Xavier felt as if he was punched in the chest throwing air out of his lungs, a pained expression on his face.

The pain forced him to accept the reality, the world had changed. If the pain wasn't enough, the scream of prisoners coming from outside, left no doubts in his mind.

Xavier accepted reality as it was, without wasting any time.

Some of you might say the world around him was completely flipped over, how can he accept such drastic changes so easily.

Well, the answer was quite simple…. that's just how he was, ever since Xavier was young, his thinking was slightly twisted, he believed that human mind was only capable of imagining only those scenarios which already existed in reality, In simple terms the human mind was not capable of imagining things which did not exist.

It might not have happened in this reality but in some reality, everything that a human imagined existed, doesn't matter whether good or bad.

Your proposed crush and she humiliated you in front of the whole class, definitely happened.

Your loyal partner cheated on you…

Ever imagined winning a billion dollar lottery.. You definitely won but not in this reality.

As such, for him human mind was like a multidimensional search engine that weaved through all the possibilities and randomly showed you glimpses from other dimensions.

Crazy right? But that's just who Xavier was!

Meanwhile even though the chaos outside was great, Xavier didn't immediately rush to take a look, instead he chose to follow the instruction of the Infinite Record and silently recited in his heart. "Status"

Following this, the multiple blue windows floating in front of his retina disappeared and a singular semi-transparent window appeared in its place.

[Name: Xavier Crownheart]

[Level: 0 | Race: Human | Class: None | Title: None]

[Strength: 15(10) | Agility: 17(10) | Health: 15 (10) | Stamina: 19 | Mana:100]

Freely distributable stats – 0]

"Hmmm.. not surprising..my physical stats are well over the average humans.."

Xavier wasn't surprised by his stats considering the fact he used to play soccer ever since he was a kid, only stopped playing once he was thrown in the prison on false charges.

Not just that he was also a regular gym goer as well.

"So the world turned into a game.." Xavier didn't panic as he already imagined this scenario countless times, his life was already bad as it could be, nothing else could make it worse.

Before he could continue thinking, several terrified screams came from the hallway followed by multiple gunshots one after the other.

"Dammn!! Bullets are ineffective against these creatures..."

"Someone calls for backup, there are zombies, prisoners are turning into zombies.."

An officer said in a panicked voice as he pointed the muzzle at the nearest zombie, shooting the head of his former fellow colleague.

Bang! Blood splashed everywhere, painting the plain white walls crimson.

Outside it was absolute chaos, As it was launch time most of the inmates were in the cafeteria, with only a rare few like Xavier who were in their cell due to various reasons.

"Zombies?" Although he was already mentally prepared, Xavier still had to take a look once more to make sure there were indeed zombies outside, his eyes were not playing tricks.

Most of them former prisoners as evidenced by their orange uniform while there were also few officers who had also turned into walking dead.

Just one look, and Xavier instinctively walked backwards.

The world had turned into a game then he could grow stronger by killing these zombies.

At that thought, he shook his head, "Although it is true I might grow stronger but the risk is too much, as soon as I step out of my cell, zombies will outnumber me..First I will have to wait and gather as much information as possible.."

Xavier's eyes flickered with intelligence as he calmly analyzed the situation and thought of countless ways to ensure his survival.

Just then his gaze moved toward the thin iron bar that prevented him from escaping but now these same bars protected him.

Still given the extraordinary situation, Xavier wasn't sure if these thin iron bars would be able to protect him from the chaos outside.

After he had just watched a Zombie rip through human bodies as if they were made from paper.

Suddenly he had an idea, moving at incredibly fast speed, he grabbed the small iron bed and raised it upwards to shield himself from any attack, the iron bed easily covered the entire cell, allowing Xavier to hide behind it.

Once made sure he was in a relatively safe position, he looked outside, to assess the changing situation.

Just then he heard several horrified screams, "Oh my god what is this monster.."

"Somebody save me.."

Xavier didn't know who it was, but their scream was abruptly cut midway, whatever that terrified the man didn't let him finish beggin for help.

Bang! Bang! Multiple gunshot resounded, then the sound of something cutting through the air echoed and several headless bodies fell to the ground.

Xavier's heart chilled as he watched the scene playing in front of his eyes.

A zombie holding two glowing swords moved like an expert martial artist, separating anything that blocked its path.

Once the monster was Just few meters away, Xavier noticed a blood red text above it's head.

[Execution-Type Zombie | Level 5]

The Blood red text chilled his heart, everything about the monster screamed danger, taking a deep breath, he ducked to hide, worried that the monster might notice him.

Maybe it was this sudden movement or something else, but the eyes of the zombie holding the glowing sword turned toward Xavier cell.

For a moment the corridor outside fell into a chilling silence only to be broken by the sound of rhythmic footsteps.

Xavier noticed this change and cursed.
