POV: Aphrodite
Mothers do not forget their daughters.
The dream comes in the last hour before the Moon Goddess's summons arrives, in the space where the between-space and the waking world are closest to each other and communication from one to the other is most accessible.
Not the gold dreamspace of Eros's approach. Something older, warmer, carrying the specific quality of a presence that has been maintaining itself at a distance not because the distance was chosen but because the distance was required, and the requirement is lifting in this last hour before the war's next phase begins.
I'm standing in light.
