The people affected by the Measma were laid down and strapped to platforms that were enchanted with all sorts of healing spells and rune symbols.
[ Magi- Tech Trivia ]: A magic platform was an ancient device invented in the Silver Era by The Sacred Society of Warlocks. When a spell was cast on the platform, certain rune mechanisms would trap the Mana in a state of molecular equilibrium. This prevented the spell from taking effect, thus storing the spell until triggered to break the state of equilibrium.
[ Bio-Magical Disorders; By: Dr. Luis Avant]: Mana Overload has a five stage effect process. At stage one, the subject feels nausea and is weakened by the sheer magnitude of their Mana. Stage 2, the subject's body prioritizes safety over supremacy and starts to expel all Mana in the body. Stage three; The over expulsion stage; the subject's body fails to regulate how much Mana to release and still preserve the subject. This leads to fatigue and severe body pain.
Stage four, the subject's exhaustion leads to the loss of consciousness over long periods. A state of complete comatose. The final stage,stage five.
The subject's life force is drained and the body's inability to take in Mana leads to the subject loosing it's life.
Advisable treatment: Drain the excess Mana using an artifact whiles healing the subject. This allows the subject's body to stop releasing Mana and preserve the Mana already in the subject's body.

The Mana Overload had reached stage four for the majority, which meant about half of Hart Village was in a coma. I had to do something. To watch them die, would leave far to deep a scar on my mind.
About a year ago, I stumbled upon a study journal written by an ancestor of mine, Rene Grimmseley- Black. She was one of the first women in the family to attain a high standing in the alchemical research and Biology field. Particularly, any being that possessed Mana was her field of study.
Her last thesis was on the constituents of Mana fluctuations and vibrations in living beings.
Per her research,
" Mana flux has three main swirling points or congruent points in humans. These are, the forehead, the chest and the two wrists of a human being. These junctions allowed the use of body influencing magic, mind influencing magic and emotion influencing magic. The quantity of congruent points however, is not limited to just these three. They have infinite probability and can increase in accordance to a person's Mana density. In short, these congruent points act as ranking systems for power. [ Mana Circles ]. The more Mana Circles a person has, the stronger their affinity for the magic they use. The highest number of circles to ever be seen are nine circles . In the situation of a Mana Overload, these congruent points are prevented from recycling circulated Mana in the body after atmospheric Mana is absorbed".

If understood Rene's research, I needed to remove the Mana blocking their congruent points.
"But, where would I deposit all that dark Mana?!".
The nurses and doctors looked on in silence, some with expressions that hinted clearly that they doubted a fourteen year-old could cure such a severe condition. My father had no other choice than to place faith in my academic prowess. With his honor on the line, there was no way I was about to loose.
" I have an Idea!!", I thought to myself.
" [ Still in thought ]: If we're to create a sort of magical device to absorb and contain dark magic, I can replace the use of the Measma Towers. That is, until the source of the problem was exposed... ... Now, what do I make?".
I excused myself, reassuring my father that I'd be back with results. Behind the church, I opened a warp portal that lead to my dorm room. I needed absolute privacy for what I was about to do. No questions, no whispers, just silence. My plan was simple. My father's blade, The Photon Cleaver; Phantom Edge, was rumored to have the ability to absorb and cleave through even light based magic. This was the origins of my father's title, The Ghost Blade Knight.
If I could invert that property, I could create a blade strong enough to absorb darkness.
There was only one dangerous aspect about my plan, there was in fact, no such a spell to invert magic properties. This meant breaking universal laws just create a spell.

With my new spell, I first inverted the magic properties of my father's blade. Then, with a sinergy class magic spell, fortified the magi-steel in the blade with adamantite and the core of a dark viper. The resulting ore was called Orichalcum of Darkness. The property of the new metal ore birthed the name, Darkened Phantom Edge- a blade that can absorb dark magic, store had reuse it.
I returned to the hospital, but I pondered still on whether it was a good idea to bring in such an expensive looking weapon. Surely there would be questions.
For now, I simply had to save the village. I'll rectify any issues at a later time.
Walking in sword in hand, the doctors and families tried to stop me, thinking I was about to put an end to their family members. However, my father stopped them. He saw the determined look in my eyes and knew what it meant. Extending the blade over the injured, I initiated the absorption property of the blade. Within minutes, every ounce of excess Mana in their bodies was absorbed into the sword. The sword worked perfectly, absorbing the Measma around the villagers to gain sharpness.
The Mana Overload was cured and the once comatose victims of Measma were awake and asking for something to eat. Although there was still the issue of finding the source of the Measma. It is common knowledge that Measma has two main sources, Measma from a cursed relic and Measma from a cursed being or A FALLEN BEING. The longer a curse exists the larger the Measma accumulation from negative emotion.
Which meant I was either dealing with a relic over a millennia old or a fallen whose over a thousand years old. If I don't dispell this Measma, it could create monsters and even a stampede.

A blonde haired broad approaches a clearing through bushes where the lights of the night are visible. At the center of the clearing, a black gem hovers above a lake. The gem glows with faint purple light.
" Ah!! So, this is the source of all that Measma. People must be in suffering because of you. I can't watch this happen, father's teachings would be sullied. If I'm right, that's a Hell- Bourne crystal, a black gem from powerful beasts. But who would use such a terrifying relic? "
As she approaches the gemstone, a voice calls out coldly; " Why hello there Young Mistress!! "
