However, when I activated the spell;

As his teeth came down on the pill and it's content poured into his mouth, beams of light tore through his mask and he convulsed heavily.
He shook, twisting and wriggling like something straight out of a horror film. His body then began to expand at an abnormal rate.

I was not about to wait and see my suspicions realized a second time this night. Grabbing the still unconscious blonde, I escaped with her into the stretching canopies of the forest.
With the blonde in my arms, I dashed away from the explosion of pure magical energy. While running, I pondered on Blanc's words , failing to notice the stir in my travel companions state of unconsciousness.

The chances of something this disastrous appearing in the midst of what by comparison, was a meager issue were almost zero.
