~Next Day~
The skylight outside was still dark and hazy, the air was a bit cold, capable of luring one back to sleep, but that wasn't the case in Sonia's ward.
Her eyes, immediately they snapped open, were greeted by the soft energy lighting glowing in the room.
The room was extraordinarily peaceful, with just the faint hum of the air conditioner.
The light was soft and warm, the air conditioner was just right.
She stretched herself, a yawn escaping her lips, and involuntarily she stretched her hand, gently placing it over her mouth and she froze.
The familiar sting she felt whenever she stretched her hand was absent.
There was no itch and no pain, no tug from the line of IV like the day before.
"It can't be…" she screamed inwardly as she pushed herself upright.
Her left hand trailed down her right and it was free, then she checked the other hand…free.
Sonia's heart raced with happiness, her lips beamed with a smile…say it was the best smile she had for six months.
