Immediately, my nose was serenaded with a familiar scent. Allen. It was Allen.
Meanwhile, Allen's sister got herself back on her feet fast after that burst of light hit her. She shook off the dust like it was nothing and laughed again, that same evil sound that made everything in my bones to freeze. She was genuinely terrifying.
Allen moved quickly, coming straight to me. He dropped down and shook my shoulders gently but firmly.
"Are you okay, Ezra? Say something please."
I coughed hard, tasting blood in my mouth, but I managed to nod. My chest still felt tight from whatever dark energy she had wrapped around me. Allen's hands moved over me fast. He did something with his power and I felt a warm rush push the darkness away, like it was being sucked out of my body.
