Once Tie Kuangtu and the other Imperial officials had disappeared into the distance, the old village head began organizing everyone to get to work.
Since it was getting late and Princess Vivi of the Empire was present, the villagers scurried off to prepare for the evening banquet. After all, she was a person of immense status; she could not be neglected and had to be hosted with the utmost care.
Their overwhelming enthusiasm made Vivi feel a bit out of place. She told the villagers that a simple meal would suffice and that there was no need for trouble or special treatment—they should just proceed as they usually did.
However, the people of the village were adamant about holding a lively welcoming banquet to honor their new friend from the Imperial family. Vivi eventually relented to their warm invitations and agreed.
Once the adults had dispersed, only Qin Yan's group and Long Weiwei remained in the main hall.
Luo Xuanyi and the others quickly regained their lively spirit. With delighted faces, they walked up to Weiwei and introduced themselves with poise. "Hello, I am Luo Xuanyi."
The rest followed suit, introducing themselves one by one.
"Hello, I am Bei Changdan," Changdan said softly. Her voice was gentle and sweet, naturally giving off a unique sense of warmth and kindness.
"Hi, I'm Luo Fei!" Luo Fei leaned in toward Weiwei with his hands behind his head, a mischievous grin revealing his bright white teeth.
"Hello, I'm Li Erniu," Erniu added with a simple, honest smile.
"Liya," little Liya chirped, biting her index finger for a moment before letting out a crisp greeting.
"Hello everyone, I am Long Weiwei. It is a pleasure to meet you all," Weiwei replied politely, greeting them with a graceful smile.
With the introductions out of the way, the youngsters crowded around her, full of questions. They asked her what the Imperial Capital was like, how big it was, what kind of delicious food and fun things were there, and if she had ever seen a Paladin and what they looked like. Their curiosity was endless.
Weiwei patiently explained how magnificent the world outside was. The children's eyes sparkled with excitement; they were filled with yearning. As they talked, it didn't take long for them to hit it off completely.
During their conversation, Weiwei mentioned that her strength was at the level of a Magic Apprentice and a Lower Knight. Aside from Liya, Luo Xuanyi and the others were at a similar stage, though they were all on the verge of stepping into the realms of Mage and Sword Master.
Tie Kuangtu, the swordsman from earlier, was at the level of a Sky Knight and a Great Sword Hero.
Based on the information Weiwei provided and the intensity of the auras he had sensed, Qin Yan deduced the Power Levels of this world:
A Lower Knight, Magic Apprentice, or Swordsman likely had a Power Level between 10 and 50 points.
A Mage, Sword Master, or Middle Knight was probably between 60 and 90 points.
A Sorcerer, Great Sword Master, or Upper Knight ranged from 100 to 130 points.
An Archmage, Sword Hero, or Steel Knight was likely between 140 and 170 points.
A Grand Archmage, Great Sword Hero, or Sky Knight reached 180 to 210 points.
Finally, a Magic Saint, Sword Saint, or Paladin possessed a Power Level between 240 and 290 points.
The Demon Kings he had killed previously had Power Levels of around 240, equivalent to the strength of a Paladin. They weren't actually that formidable.
A few hours passed after the lively banquet concluded.
Qin Yan walked up to the hillside where Xiao Bei's house was located. Over the past few months, he had found some time to ask the villagers for help in building a simple dwelling right next to hers.
He lay down on the soft grass, staring up at the brilliant, star-studded sky as he sank into thought. The night was enchanting; the tiny, blue-tinted stars blinked mysteriously, looking so far away.
A crescent moon moved through the clouds, hanging high in the dark blue vault of heaven, draping a thin veil of light over the world.
To be honest, life these past few months hadn't been bad, but he still missed Earth. He wanted to go and see this world's version of Earth soon.
Perhaps only there would he feel a true sense of reality and peace, given his special connection to the place. Moreover, he wanted to meet the protagonist group in person as soon as possible.
"Brother Qin Yan!"
"Qin Yan!"
A series of shouts interrupted his musings. He saw Liya, Luo Xuanyi, and the others approaching, with Weiwei following behind them.
"Why aren't you all resting? Why did you come over here?" Qin Yan asked as he sat up.
"It's like this," Luo Xuanyi explained. "When Grandpa Village Head was arranging Princess Weiwei's accommodations, we suggested she stay with Xiao Bei. Everyone agreed, but Grandpa insisted we ask for your opinion first. So, what do you think?"
After Xuanyi finished, Weiwei looked at Qin Yan nervously, her heart in her throat. She was terrified that he might disagree and send her away.
"Sure," Qin Yan said, momentarily stunned. He hadn't expected them to come to him for something like this. He figured they were just worried Weiwei might disturb him, but he didn't care at all. "Stay wherever you like."
"Thank you!" Hearing his words, Weiwei breathed a massive sigh of relief and thanked him sincerely.
"No need for thanks, it's nothing," Qin Yan replied indifferently. "Alright, it's late. Go get some rest. We have to start our training early tomorrow. I want you all to be able to participate in that Number One Under Heaven Magic and Martial Arts Assembly in three years."
"What? Really? We can actually participate?" Upon hearing this, Luo Fei became incredibly excited, as if he had been injected with adrenaline. Erniu was also moved, and the two boys hugged each other joyfully.
Luo Xuanyi and Xiao Bei weren't quite as rowdy; they weren't as obsessed with fighting and competing as Luo Fei was.
"Can I... can I train with you?" Weiwei's soft voice suddenly spoke up, breaking through Luo Fei's celebratory cheering.
Luo Xuanyi and the others were stunned. They hadn't expected the Princess to want to train with them. They all turned their heads in unison toward Qin Yan, waiting for his answer.
"You can, but it is very grueling," Qin Yan said. He had expected her to ask and had no intention of refusing. He wouldn't have to teach her personally; she could simply follow Liya and the others.
Perhaps once she realized how difficult it was, she would quit and return home on her own. He would be happy to see that happen. "Starting tomorrow, you follow them. Whatever they do, you do."
"Really? Thank you!" Weiwei was in disbelief. She had expected him to be difficult, but she had received his guidance so easily. she bowed her head repeatedly in gratitude.
"Mhm," Qin Yan confirmed.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
After chatting for a while longer, Qin Yan dismissed them all to go to sleep.
Early the next morning, the group woke up and began their training as usual, though there was now one extra person in their ranks.
In this manner, the group worked hard at their cultivation, all for the sake of competing in the tournament three years later.
Four months passed.
On this day, Qin Yan wasn't training with the others. Instead, he had climbed to the peak of one of the Twin Peaks. The mountain soared into the sky, its body shrouded in mist,
while a sea of clouds surged around it, isolating the summit from the world below. In the distance, the sun was rising, bringing with it a purple mist from the east.
Qin Yan sat cross-legged on the summit, sensing the profound mysteries hidden within the human body. As he operated the Grand Primeval Chaos Creation Dao Profound True Wonder Art,
his internal Origin Qi surged forth like a flood, flowing ceaselessly through his blood vessels and meridians. As his aura continued to climb, he reached a critical threshold.
"Ha!!!"
He let out a low shout. His eyes narrowed as a sharp glint flashed across them, coinciding with the shattering of an internal shackle.
A powerful, invisible pressure erupted from his body, creating a violent gust of wind. The surrounding sea of clouds was instantly blown away, as if a hole had been punched through the heavens,
reconnecting the sky and the earth. Sunlight poured through the gap, spilling directly onto the ground below. The land was instantly illuminated, and all forms of life began to stir.
Once everything settled, Qin Yan felt the massive Qi within his body and a joyful smile spread across his face. His cultivation technique had finally broken through to the First Stage, Third Level.
This breakthrough had caused his Power Level to skyrocket by roughly 100,000 points. This boost was more than three times stronger than the one he had received upon reaching the second level.
Combined with the nearly 30,000 points he had gained through regular training over the last few months, his total Power Level had now surpassed 180,000.
Host, you have not yet signed in today. Would you like to sign in?
An electronic prompt suddenly sounded in his mind the system's daily reminder.
Qin Yan was slightly confused. Ever since awakening the system, he had been required to sign in daily. In the beginning, the constant daily pings had given him a headache, so he had eventually told the system to stop the reminders and just set it to sign him in automatically by default.
"System, why are you suddenly reminding me to sign in today? Is there a malfunction?" he asked mentally.
There is no malfunction. It is simply because the Host has accumulated exactly one year of sign-ins, so a reminder was issued.
One year already? Has it really been that long?
Qin Yan felt a sudden surge of emotion. A full year had passed since he arrived in this world and the system had awakened. He felt as though he had barely lived a few quiet days, yet a whole year had slipped by. Time really did fly.
"I see. You gave me a fright; I thought you were broken," he joked. He took the opportunity to tease the system, expecting some kind of retort, but the system remained as cold and aloof as ever.
Would the Host like to sign in? the system reminded again.
"Sign in." Qin Yan didn't waste any more words. He wanted to see what was so special about the one-year anniversary sign-in that the system had gone out of its way to notify him.
As soon as the command was given, the notification sounded:
Host has accumulated one year of sign-ins. Congratulations to the Host for obtaining: Perfect Instant Transmission, a 10,000-point Power Level bonus, and the Great Exposition of Magic and Martial Arts Cultivation.
What? Instant Transmission? Did I hear that right?
Qin Yan was stunned. He doubted his own ears for a second, wondering if he was hallucinating.
A blue screen appeared in his mind. Inside a glowing golden box, the words "Perfect Instant Transmission" shone with a dazzling brilliance.
He confirmed it once more he wasn't hearing things. It really was Instant Transmission, just with the word "Perfect" added to the name.
"Hahaha!"
Qin Yan was ecstatic. This was Instant Transmission! With a single thought, he could reach any corner of the universe. It was the ultimate god-tier skill for escaping, showing off, traveling, or commuting; it was faster and more impressive than the damn speed of light.
Goku, the protagonist, had used this move to save his friends and the Earth countless times. It had saved his life more times than one could count.
As expected of a yearly sign-in, the rewards were incredibly rich. There was even a 10,000-point Power Level bonus, which was a pleasant surprise he had never received before.
As for the Great Exposition of Magic and Martial Arts Cultivation, he didn't know what it was, but since it was a system reward, it had to be useful.
Qin Yan didn't dwell on that for now. He was mostly just happy about getting Instant Transmission. With this, he could finally move with total freedom in his future endeavors.
