[3rd POV]
"Wow...the food here is amazing!" Haley said, as they sat across from one another. They had just stepped out of the cafe that Billie had suggested, and the reviews that she had read did not do it justice. With the two now sitting in the outside seating area just outside of the shop.
Billie had gotten a rather delicious croissant and chouquettes. The former was pretty cliche, but it was cliche for a reason. The croissants in Paris were some of the best in the entire world. Hell, most of the bakery goods in France in general were some of the best in the world.
Haley had decided on something a bit more savory, and had gotten a croque madame. Which was the same as a croque monsieur, but with an egg. She had also grabbed a croissant au jambon, which is a croissant that is stuffed with ham and cheese.
And of course, they had both grabbed coffee on top of that.
"Mmm, the coffee is fantastic too" Billie said, agreeing as she took a bite of her croissant with a pleased smile on her face. It was definitely the best she had ever had, and they hadn't even been to one of the truly good bakeries in the city.
She knew of a few that would definitely be better. As this place was just a breakfast spot, and did not entirely specialize in bakery goods like the ones that she wanted to visit one of these days, was.
There were even a couple Michelin star restaurants that she wanted to try too. She had been to one before, which she had gone to on a date with Haley, but that one specialized in South American dishes, and was based out of LA.
This time she wanted to try something more European. She mostly ate foods from the Americas back in LA, which made sense, since they had some of the best food in the world in the city. But it did tend to get a bit boring after some time. So she was more interested in finding and trying new and unique foods that she had never seen before.
Like escargot, which she had never had before. Although she had a feeling that she would be trying that alone, since Haley was not particularly a fan of strange and unique foods. And she sure as hell would not like to eat a snail.
"Definitely gonna have to make this spot our regular spot in the morning. If not for the food, at least for the coffee" Haley said, as she sipped on her coffee. Billie wasn't sure what she got, but whatever it was, it tasted pretty good.
She honestly wasn't even sure what she had gotten either, she just ordered what they recommended, and it was still good, so she didn't care much.
"If that's what you want. So, my love, where would you like to start today? We can visit the museums around here, or we can go shopping, or a ton of different things. It's all up to you" Billie asked, interested to hear what Haley would want to do first.
Personally she was pretty interested in visiting the single best museum in the entire world. The "Louvre" which was the same museum that housed the Mona Lisa, and was the largest museum in the entire world. It was pretty much a must visit spot in Paris.
Although actually seeing some of the more interesting art inside of the museum might be a pain in the ass, mostly because of the sheer amount of people that visit the museum every single day. All to see the priceless painting, the Mona Lisa.
"Hmm, how about we do a bit of shopping, but only after we go and visit the Louvre? I know the museum is like...gigantic, so we can go several times over the trip!" Haley responded after a few moments of thought. She also wanted to see the Mona Lisa, mostly to satiate her own curiosity about whether or not it's actually as incredible as everyone says it is.
"That'll work just fine. Where do you want to shop first?" Billie asked, as she continued to sip on her coffee, enjoying the sights around them, and listening to the sounds of the cars driving by, and the people walking all around.
"Well there is one place that I'm interested in. It was the first store that showed up when I looked up good places to shop" Haley replied. Billie leaned forward in slight interest, as Haley continued.
"It's called Le Bon Marche, the oldest department store in the world. And I guess it is huge too, with all sorts of sections inside dedicated to a bunch of different brands. They even have a cafe and everything" Haley continued, as Billie hummed.
"So it's kind of like a mini mall?" Billie replied with a tilt of her head, interested. She had never heard of the shop before. She had already prepped a few meetings at other places, like one with Rolex (which was more so for her, as she wanted to get a nice watch), one with Hermes (which was shockingly difficult to do), and a few others.
"Well...yeah I guess. All I know is that it is huge and has tons of stuff" Haley replied with a shrug, as Billie finished her breakfast slowly but surely, her girlfriend watching her eat as she ate her own food.
"Great! Once we're done here we can head there" Billie said, as she leaned back and let her girlfriend continue her delicious meal.

Around an hour later, they arrived at the store. And the moment they had entered, Billie was blind sided by the size of it. The store was much bigger than she had thought, and truly was more like a mall than a department store.
"...Damn, when you told me it was a big store, you didn't tell me it was this huge" Billie said as they looked up. The store was like 3 or 4 floors, and there was all sorts of luxury goods. The one that they both noticed pretty quickly was Louis Vuitton.
"You wanna go there first?" Billie asked, noticing the way her girlfriend was looking over at the store. She had made sure to give the store a call on their way there, knowing that they don't always let just anyone buy stuff from their store, as weird as that is.
"Nah, we can go there last. I want to browse other stuff first. Plus they're really expensive for what they sell, so I want to see if I can find something cheaper that is just as good" Haley replied with a shake of her head, as they walked through the store.
"Oh, they have a Rolex shop here too! Didn't you want to go to one while in Paris?" Haley asked. Billie looked over at the shop and hummed.
"I do. But I've already called another store and confirmed I'll be arriving there within the week. Plus the store that I already plan on going to is a lot bigger and has a better selection" Billie replied, while she watched as Haley began to look over some of the clothes excitedly.
She also noticed some of the workers glancing at them, probably trying to gleam if they were wealthy or not. And considering Haley was currently wearing a number of casual luxury goods, they got their answer.
She had made sure that Haley wore them too, knowing how some of these stores can be when it comes to wealth and money. They only let people that were truly wealthy and powerful to shop at their stores. Even if the person that wants to buy from there already has money.
It was weird. Honestly it was pretty narcissistic in Billie's eyes.
And soon, the two began to walk around the store, ready to get their first proper day in Paris started.
All the while, Billie had a smile on her face, and one thought on her mind.
