[3rd POV]
Time had slowly passed by since they had entered the Louvre, and they had seen quite a lot. The museum was truly massive, and had taken a lot longer to explore than either of them had been expecting. It was so big that there was simply no way that they would ever get to explore all of it, and had instead decided to end the day by looking at the Mona Lisa.
The Mona Lisa had been an...interesting painting to see in person. It was beautiful, sure, but it was not even remotely as incredible as so many people seemed to describe it as. It was pretty underwhelming, but still cool to see in person. As it was not everyday that you saw the most expensive painting in the world, one that was widely considered as priceless.
The insurance on the painting itself was worth billions, and there were other protective measures placed all over the place. Like a large plain of bulletproof glass to make sure that it could not be damaged from outside means. Temperature and moisture regulation devices that would ensure that it would not be harmed by anything like that. As well as other protective means to protect against damage from being under lights and stuff like that.
The painting was also incredibly underwhelming because Billie and Haley had only been allowed to say and look at the painting for a total of around thirty seconds, before they were told to leave so that the next person in the giant line could gaze at the most iconic art piece of all time.
There were of course other paintings that they had looked at, but the Mona Lisa was easily the most interesting.
After finishing their first day at the Louvre, the two had returned back to the hotel to rest and relax for a bit. While Haley had also made sure to call her parents and inform them about how the day had been going so far, and what they had been up to during the first day.
At the same time Billie was doing some business on her side. Mostly to do with the Ellen Show and everything that was going on with that particular event. She had to make sure that everything was ready for her, as she most certainly did not want her first time debuting one of her new songs to be ruined because they had not properly prepared or something like that.
If the show was not prepared by the time that she had gone there after all of this preparation, then she would be rightfully pissed. And she would ensure that they'd get some sort of punishment for it. But, she was pretty confident that that would not happen, as they would be stupid to mess up such a huge opportunity.
Besides making the last checks to ensure the Ellen Show debut was good to go, Billie was also checking on some of her other businesses, and her investments. Amongst them was her recording studio, which had recently started to sign new artists besides just her and Haley.
The artists that she was making sure were on the list of "Future Recruits" was quite long. But it included only the ones that she knew for a fact still existed here. Artists like Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Bad Bunny, and a few others being on the list. As she knew that not all of them would be in their labels forever, and not all of them had even started their careers yet.
She had also looked into Sabrina Carpenter, but found that the girl did not exist, and had absolutely no mention of being an actress, making her understand that Girl Meets World likely existed in this world. That show was centered in New York, so she'd have to visit that place in the future.
As Maya (the girl Sabrina Carpenter played) would still likely possess the same talent as the Sabrina Carpenter she knew in her past life. Meaning that she could likely sign the teen to her label, and use that to train her. Potentially even getting herself a protege. Or what was more likely, was that Haley would become her teacher. They did have rather similar types of music.
Either way, Billie had been a bit busier in the day. At least until they had gone out to dinner.
Their dinner spot for their first night was an excellent one known as "L'Ambroisie" a three michelin star restaurant that was one of the oldest in the city when it comes to how long they have held that many stars.
And in both Billie and Haley's mind, the stars were absolutely deserved. The food was fairly expensive, but it was absolutely incredible. And it was some of the best food that they had ever eaten, if not the best. Billie had gotten Sea bass escalopes with sliced artichoke and Kristal caviar. It was easily the best seafood that she had ever eaten, and it was not even close.
While Haley had gotten Lobster navarin with rosemary, potatoes glazed with jus. The lobster was incredible, but Billie had personally preferred her fish. The desserts on the other hand, was not as good, but were still excellent. They had both gotten the same thing this time, with their dessert being Thin cocoa tart, with Bourbon vanilla ice cream.
The rest of their first day was spent in enjoyment, simply eating their dinner and then returning to their hotel, cuddling up as they watched some french soap opera on the tv. Neither of them really knew what it was about, even though Billie knew how to speak and read French fluently. It was rather confusing to her, but she still enjoyed it.
They had also talked about what they wanted to do the next day. Which they decided would be more traveling and exploring, and going back to the Louvre again. They had both decided that they were going to go to the Louvre three times. Once per day for the first three days, and then that would be it.
On top of the Louvre trip, they had planned on exploring some more shopping destinations, and eventually the catacombs, but they wouldn't be doing the latter until the third or fourth day, primarily because the exploration of the tunnels would take some time, and they didn't want to overwhelm themselves or anything like that.
It would take away from the trip if they did too much, and neither wanted that. So they were pacing themselves within reason, so that they could enjoy things to the fullest.
And now it was the next morning, Billie had just finished her morning shower and finished getting ready, and was now just waiting for Haley to finish on her end. At the same time, she was on her phone, finding some new places to visit, and getting more ideas for gifts she could get for the family back home.
She had already long since decided on what she was going to get for Haley while here, and now they just needed to visit the right shops. Which she figured they could do when she did her Rolex shopping.
With that, Billie sat on the edge of their shared bed, patiently waiting for her girlfriend, all the while she had only one thought on her mind.
'Time to start the second day in Paris!'
