[3rd POV]
The second day in Paris had started fully with a bit of a bang. The two had started off by scheduling the trip to Rolex, officially. With Billie deciding to get it out of the way, and getting the watch that she had wanted. She already had an idea of the one she was going to get, she just needed to see it in person first before confirming her purchase.
That and she wanted to see if there was any other watches that she might be interested in getting.
Normally she would have to wait for months to get the watch, due to her not being an established customer at the company. But, that was not the case in this situation. That is because she was well known throughout...well, the world, and was not one to not pay or waste time.
It would be bad for her image. And she had also confirmed that she more than likely would be buying more watches from them in the future, so, they had made sure that there was a good selection for her to look through.
She felt a bit bad about this, as it was taking time away from normal customers, but the worker she had spoken to, who was the manager, had gotten rid of those worries after explaining that they'd just display it in one of the private rooms of the store. This way other customers can continue to shop while she browses her options.
Haley had not really seen the appeal of going to a shop that sells watches, but that had been destroyed when they had actually gotten there. The watches were truly incredible to look at in person, and they weren't even the best watch brand.
Billie believed that belonged to Patek Philippe, and it probably was not close. The brand was old as hell, and made some of the best watches in the world. But those watches were truly incredibly expensive, and not something that even Billie was interested in buying just yet.
They were hundreds of thousands of dollars at times, whereas most Rolex watches were far cheaper, even if they were still incredibly expensive.
By the time they had started to browse the options, even Haley had been interested in getting one. Billie had decided on getting a men's watch in this case, as she foudn that most of them would fit her wrist just fine, and personally she far preferred the appearance of the men's watch's.
While Haley had been interested in getting a women's watch, she found out pretty quickly that the men's watches were far more appealing to her than the women's ones, even if there were a few that looked pretty neat.
It was all personal preference.
Billie had stayed exploring the displays for over thirty minutes, before she had decided on a watch she had wanted to buy. This one being the 40mm cosmograph Daytona, with the reference number 116515LN, a truly beautiful watch that she had decided would be her daily wear.
The watch itself had turned out to be just under 29,000 dollars, before tax. It was expensive, but not even remotely comparable in price to many of the older Patek Philippe watches, and wasn't even the most expensive Rolex watch already out.
She had seen a couple of other watches that caught her eye, but none of them were particularly rare, so she decided to visit the store in LA to look them over in the future to buy. She was sure that they had them too, and if not she'd just call and get an appointment in which they would get one in.
The price of the watch was not much of a problem to Billie, as she had more than enough disposable income. Most of that disposable income had been reinvested into her companies and other things she deemed as important. While a further portion of that had been used in donations and stuff like that, while a small fraction was then spent on whatever she want.
She planned on getting a super car next. She had always wanted one. The super car in question was probably going to be a Koenigsegg Agera R, an absolute beauty of a car. There was also the Bugatti Veyron, but she personally liked the appearance of the future Bugatti's over the older stuff. So she decided she'd go with the Koenigsegg if she ever decided to get a new car.
She was basically accomplishing a number of her dreams that she had always had, even since she was a little girl.
After buying her watch, Billie had decided that it was time to head to another store before going to the Louvre for a little while. They had decided on heading to Jacob and Co, a rather well known company that had a HUGE variety of jewelry, all of which was either expensive or beautiful, or both.
Billie had left that shop after what felt like three hours of exploring, and left thousands of dollars poorer, but that was something that she had totally been expecting, so she had not been worried or surprised or anything. And that was something that others had quickly noticed.
After finishing their shopping at the store, they had decided to move onto Louvre again, as both of them wanted to look at more of the Ancient Egyptian scriptures that had been there for thousands of years. They also were naturally curious about the statues that were immensely old.
They had of course seen the Mona Lisa again, but this time it had been for photos, as the first time the photos were not the best, and they had been rushed. They had still been rushed this time of course, but they were not even remotely as surprised, having expected this the entire time.
Billie and Haley both ended up agreeing that the rest of the museum was far more interesting than the Mona Lisa itself, and both had agreed that the painting was pretty much a waste of time to even bother going to see.
It would have been different if they were both more into art, and not music, but that was just the way it was. They both imagined that Alex and Manny would have thought the painting to be incredible, and probably would have freaked out that they would only be able to see it for like thirty seconds or so.
Billie and Haley had been far happier to explore the rest of the Louvre.
Once that had been finished, the two had once again gone out to dinner at a Michelin star restaurant, but this one had only one star in comparison to the three from the last place. Billie did not care much though, and had still thoroughly enjoyed herself. Haley had also enjoyed herself, finding herself loving the atmosphere and the kind people.
At the moment the two were returning from a long day at exploring the city, and they both had shopping bags in their hands. The watch that she had bought had been put around her wrist a while ago, and did have protection. Mostly in the form of self defense classes.
"Today was a good day" Haley said at her side with a pleased smile on her face, having enjoyed every moment of her second day in Paris, and hoping that the next would be just as good.
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, babe. Because this is just the beginning of all the great things we'll be able to do" Billie responded with a small smirk on her face, remembering all her other plans for the week.
Haley had not uttered a word in response, and had just given her a bright smile. Billie, seeing this, just chuckled at her girlfriend's lack of reaction, which by itself was still a reaction. As the two continued to head towards their room, Billie had only one thought on her mind.
'...That was a quick end to day 2'
