Chapter 34 – The Red Aura and the Smiling Shadow
Our story begins from where it ended before.
A black shadow drags someone inside the portal.
The scene shifts to outside the portal.
Kluh –
"How is such a dangerous aura coming out?"
He couldn't even go near the portal. As soon as Kluh moves closer to it, his skin starts burning.
Out of fear, he steps back.
"What is happening?"
The man in the black robe –
"I don't know either. I must report this to the higher-ups quickly. If anyone finds out about this portal, we will be killed.
This aura is now spreading out of the jungle and moving toward the city. Very soon the other guilds will arrive here."
Kluh –
He was so scared that he couldn't even move.
He was trembling. It was the first time he had seen something like this.
The man in the black robe –
"Don't stand there like an idiot. Quickly throw these bodies into the portal using your skill."
Kluh keeps staring at the portal without moving.
The robed man, in anger, slaps him hard and shouts,
"Get your senses back!"
Kluh –
After the slap, he regains a little consciousness. As he tries to use his skill, his hands begin to shake.
Suddenly, two red-colored hands come out of the portal and drag Kluh inside.
Seeing this, the man in the black robe becomes shocked and runs away from there.
The scene shifts to the city.
People were returning home from their daily work when they suddenly looked up at the sky.
The sky had turned red with a terrifying aura, as if something was watching everyone.
News Reporter –
"Is our city in danger again? We have barely recovered from the last disaster, and now another problem has appeared. This mysterious phenomenon is coming from the west-side jungle."
This news quickly spread to every guild.
The Tiger Guild leader was standing on top of his building, watching the red aura in the sky.
All guilds were receiving calls. Something terrible had happened.
Tiger Guild Security –
"Sir, there is news for you."
Stave –
"Hm. Tell me."
Secretary –
"Sir, a portal has opened in the west-side jungle. The red aura coming out of it has risen into the sky and is now forming portals all around the city. It seems this time the city will face a massive monster wave attack."
Stave –
"Okay. Prepare everyone."
The Sky Guild leader also receives the same news.
He breaks out of his building and flies toward the city.
Stave also flies into the sky.
Both of them arrive at the center of the city.
Sky Guild Leader –
"Should we go to the jungle or protect the city? First, let's see how these monsters appear here."
Portals are about to open in every corner of the city, and monsters are about to come out.
Slowly, cracks start appearing on the portals.
Both guild leaders look at it in shock.
"How is this happening so fast?"
Our MC is also watching this news.
He is looking outside from the hospital window, calmly eating chocolate.
Beside him, a beggar is also standing there. Both of them look completely calm, as if nothing serious is happening.
A portal has also opened near the hospital.
The MC then looks at himself in the mirror.
But instead of his own face, he sees a black shadow smiling back at him.
