For the World Government to send him to Shiki's side as an undercover agent, and for him to climb to such a high position, Barobar obviously had qualities of his own.
At his core, he firmly believed that pirates were absolute evil, and that no one connected to evil could possibly be innocent.
So even though he had become a pirate for the sake of the mission, he deeply loathed his current identity.
That was why he put on a comical act. It was the only way he could make himself adapt to life as a pirate.
While acting, he could constantly remind himself that he was not a real pirate, and at the same time avoid a lot of unnecessary trouble.
For example, back when he served under Shiki, whenever leaks appeared within the fleet, no one ever suspected him because of his ridiculous personality.
But that did not mean he was willing to spend his whole life as a pirate.
He had always hoped that one day, once the mission was over, he could cast off the identity of a pirate, return to the World Government, and live under a different status.
Whether as a Marine, a soldier in the Army, or still a member of CP0.
But now, because of a single sentence from the madman in front of him, all of those possibilities had been destroyed.
As a member of CP0, he understood the World Government's methods better than anyone.
No matter how many dark deeds CP0 agents carried out in secret, the World Government would not care as long as those deeds remained hidden. But once they were exposed, that was a different matter.
It was just like the Empty Throne in the Holy Land Mary Geoise.
Even though those great figures within the World Government had long since treated the whole world as their personal property, whenever a new member nation joined, they still had to stand before that throne and preach all that tiresome nonsense about fairness, equality, and never becoming a dictatorship.
If Yemu had not exposed all of this, then after the mission was over, Barobar might still have been able to return to CP0 under a false name.
But now, the World Government would absolutely never allow a "stain" like him to continue existing.
"There's no hope anymore… damn it…"
Barobar's huge body swelled with rage. Veins and muscles bulged all over him, and his teeth ground together with harsh cracking sounds.
This was absolutely outside his expectations.
The worst outcome he had imagined was merely losing all the forces under his command.
As for failure, he had never even considered it.
In that case…
"There's only one way left now…"
With that thought, he raised his head, his bloodshot eyes wide open, fists clenched tight.
"Muscle Enhancement, fiftyfold!"
"Arm Strength Enhancement, fiftyfold!"
"Leg Strength Enhancement, fiftyfold!"
"Skin Enhancement, fiftyfold!"
"Bone Enhancement, fiftyfold!"
...
With each line Barobar shouted, a part of his body visibly began to compress.
His body, originally seven or eight meters tall, shrank in just a few moments until he was only five or six meters tall.
Then he kicked off hard with both legs. A violent explosion burst out behind him, and his entire body shot straight toward Yemu at an unbelievable speed.
"Rokushiki Secret Technique, Kongō Palm!"
In the blink of an eye, Barobar appeared directly above Yemu, his massive hand slamming downward from overhead.
Even though there was still some distance between them, Yemu could already feel the seawater above him turning into a mountain, as if it wanted to crush him to death beneath it.
The deep sea was different from land. Even with the movement techniques of Soru, there was nothing in the sea like solid ground to borrow force from.
Yemu's body began to plummet rapidly, almost completely unable to resist.
And Barobar clearly had no intention of giving Yemu even a moment to breathe. His gigantic palm struck down again and again.
Yemu felt as though the seawater around him had turned into indestructible stone under the terrifying pressure of those blows. Even lifting a hand became difficult.
At that moment, he was like Sun Wukong trapped beneath the Five Elements Mountain by the Buddha, dropping straight from the sky to the seabed...
...
Barobar's suicidal explosion dealt devastating losses to the warriors of Fish-Man Island.
Nearly half of Fish-Man Island's fighters lost the ability to keep fighting.
Even King Neptune was caught in the blast because he failed to dodge in time.
Fortunately, fishmen really did possess extraordinary physical strength. Aside from some injuries, King Neptune's life was not in danger, but the same could not be said for everyone else.
"King Neptune, are you alright?!"
After recovering a little, several soldiers from the Neptune Kingdom Army hurried to King Neptune's side and asked anxiously.
Enduring the intense pain in his body, Neptune said urgently,
"I'm fine. Hurry and save the others!"
The soldiers around him exchanged glances. In the end, only two remained by his sides, while the others hurriedly swam off toward their comrades nearby.
At that moment, the outer waters of Fish-Man Island were a complete ruin.
Neptune looked out and saw wounded soldiers everywhere, all injured in the explosion.
Despairing cries and pained screams rang constantly in his ears.
But even so, the battle still was not over. The tremendous rumbling continued without end.
Just then, a voice sounded by his ear.
"Why…? This is clearly a battle between human pirates, so why is it Fish-Man Island that's suffering!? If those humans from the Sky Pirates hadn't drawn this pirate crew here, so many of our people wouldn't have died!"
Neptune turned his head and saw that the one speaking was indeed one of the two soldiers assigned to protect him.
The soldier's eyes were filled with fear, along with a trace of resentment.
Neptune understood why.
Everyone had heard Yemu's words earlier.
In other words, if the Sky Pirates had never come to Fish-Man Island, then this disaster might never have happened.
But at that moment, the other soldier guarding him spoke up with clear dissatisfaction.
"Hey, that's going too far!"
"What? Did I say something wrong?"
"Of course you did! The members of the Sky Pirates could have left Fish-Man Island long ago. They stayed only to protect us. If anything, it's Fish-Man Island that's been dragging them down!"
"Hey, which side are you on? Why are you speaking up for those humans?"
"I'm not speaking up for humans. I hate those humans too. But unlike you, I've worked with Flare-san and the others before, so I know they truly want to protect Fish-Man Island. If it weren't for them, what would our island look like now? Have you forgotten?"
"But because of them, so many people on Fish-Man Island have died!"
"I'm angry too! But is that Yemu-san and Tiger-san's fault? The one at fault is that human pirate! And if what Yemu-san said is true, then that guy was actually a World Government agent in disguise. Isn't that the real problem? Fish-Man Island is a member nation of the World Government. No matter the reason, they should never have attacked us!"
Just then, the Den Den Mushi in King Neptune's arms began ringing, immediately drawing everyone's attention.
The two soldiers finally stopped arguing.
"King Neptune, this is the Air Storage Depot. The bubbles are ready. Should we still deliver them into the sea according to the plan?"
King Neptune frowned deeply. After thinking for a moment, he picked up the Den Den Mushi and spoke with a firm expression.
"Carry out the plan."
"Understood. We'll execute it immediately…"
After finishing the call, King Neptune put away the Den Den Mushi and looked toward his people, then shouted loudly.
"Citizens of Fish-Man Island! No matter what the true purpose of these human pirates attacking our island may be, Captain Yemu and his companions have shown kindness and goodwill to Fish-Man Island during this time, and we have all seen it with our own eyes!"
"Fish-Man Island is not a nation that repays kindness with betrayal!"
"Now is the time for us to stand united against a common enemy. Let us raise our voices together and cheer for the members of the Sky Pirates!"
