Chapter 30 - In which they were a stain

The doctor was currently giving Sullivan a disapproving look. It wasn't everyday he expected to see his patient for a light checkup only to end up re-dressing wounds that should be healed. Not that he thought the man caused the specks of blood on her, but he expected Sullivan of all, whom months ago had grabbed his hands and pleaded like his life depended on it, to deter from carelessness. 

Three months ago, when the ambulance had wheeled Anna in, despite the blood that was surging from his sides, Sullivan had grabbed the head doctor and in a desperate tone, pleaded to save her life. 

"I will give anything. Do whatever you can. Everything.. please. Just…she must survive…" 

It came as a shock to him because everybody knew Vice Chairman Sullivan. He was composed. Bland. And emotionless.
