The press conference was Damian's idea.
"We don't just clear Julian's name internally." He said the morning after we found Angela. "We do it publicly. Make sure everyone knows he's innocent. And make sure everyone knows what Victor tried to do."
"That's aggressive." I was nursing Julian. The baby, not the brother. Names were confusing. "Victor's going to retaliate."
"Let him." Damian's jaw was set. Hard. "I'm done playing defense. Time to go on offense."
He scheduled the press conference for Friday. Gave the media three days to build hype. Tech blogs were already speculating. Corporate espionage at Voss Corp. Rumors about the leak.
We were going to give them the whole story.
Friday arrived. The conference room was packed. Reporters. Cameras. Investors who'd demanded to know what was happening with their money.
Damian stood at the podium. Julian beside him. United front.
