[ELARA'S POV]
The attack came from nowhere.
One day Kane & Associates was thriving. Landing Fortune 500 clients. Expanding. Growing.
The next day three major clients canceled. Just canceled. No warning. No explanation.
"What the hell?" Sarah called me. Panicked. "Did you see? Synthwave just pulled out. So did Morrison Tech. And Blackwell Industries."
"All three?" My stomach dropped. "In one day?"
"In one hour. They all called within sixty minutes of each other. Said they were going a different direction."
"That's not a coincidence."
"No. It's not." She paused. "Someone's targeting us."
I called Damian. He answered immediately.
"We have a problem." I said.
"So do I. Three board members just called for my resignation. Said they lost confidence in my leadership."
"When?"
"This morning. All within an hour of each other."
We both went silent. Processing.
"Someone's coming after both of us." I said. "At the same time."
"Coordinated attack." His voice was hard. Cold. "Who?"
