Celeste glared at him before she tried reaching for the basket again.
"I want us to talk, Celeste."
"There's nothing for us to talk about, Arturo. So, if you could kindly leave me alone, I'd like to get back to my grocery shopping please." She stretched out her hand for the basket since he didn't plan on letting her grab it.
She waited.
Five seconds passed and he still hadn't given it back to her.
Sighing, she moved past him and headed back to where Christopher had picked up the basket from earlier.
When she returned, she transported the vegetables she'd already picked out earlier and turned her back to him, continuing her shopping while ignoring his entire existence.
Arturo stared at her with a broken heart. He had so much to say, but he was scared she was only going to ignore him and carry one with her shopping like he was never there.
