Shawn held his great blade to the side, his steps sinking slightly.
One hand supported the middle of the long pole, while the other tightly gripped the end of the great blade's long pole.
All his strength instantly converged in his arms, and Shawn stepped forward, swinging his blade with a force that seemed to cleave the air!
Clang--
A cloud of dust scattered, and pipe number three fell to the ground.
Shawn turned his head, a smile on his lips, just about to speak.
But the next second, he saw Daryl and the other two pointing at the Crescent Blade, all seemingly wanting to speak but hesitating.
Shawn turned back in surprise, only to be met by a gaping maw, almost biting off his nose.
Swish--!
A crossbow bolt arrived instantly, piercing the head of the Walker impaled on Shawn's long blade.
"Our Warden, you really need to be more careful."
Merle spoke with an exaggerated, heartfelt tone.
Shawn's combat prowess was almost unparalleled, but he was also too prone to getting into trouble.
Several times before, he had thought Shawn was dead, scaring Merle so much that he was now somewhat used to it.
It was as if the name Shawn was born to stir up trouble.
Michonne walked up to Shawn, looked at the corpse he had disdainfully thrown to the ground, and couldn't help but ask,
"Are you… always like this?"
Shawn was at a loss for words.
Actually, he had originally intended to show off a bit, and also let these Camp's top fighters witness his strength.
But unexpectedly, that Walker had impaled itself directly onto Shawn's blade from above, leading to this embarrassing blunder.
"Hurry up and load the medicine! Are you here to slack off and chat?"
Shawn looked at the corpse on the ground, his nose practically twisted with anger, and after giving it a hard kick, he shouted loudly.
The group first packed several large bags of medicine and then arrived at the Hospital entrance.
Looking far down the road to the right, they saw Jacob and others driving a cargo truck towards them.
Even before they reached the Hospital, they waved to Shawn from afar.
"What?"
"You want us to come pick you up?"
Shawn tried hard to read Jacob's lips, and combined with his gestures, he came to this conclusion.
He had just taken two steps with his people when he heard Jacob shouting loudly,
"Don't… don't come over~~~~"
The large cargo truck whizzed past the Hospital entrance.
Turning their heads, they saw dozens of Walkers following behind the large cargo truck.
Perhaps noticing Shawn and his group, a small portion of them split off and rushed towards Shawn.
It was also at this moment that Jacob's voice came from afar again, growing closer.
"I can't stop the car… they keep following… we're leaving first… meet at the Prison entrance!!"
Jacob drove back again, passing by the Hospital entrance.
Another portion of the Walker horde immediately split off, jogging closer.
"Jacob, did a pig kiss your cerebellum when you were little?!! "
Seeing Jacob's series of actions, a vein throbbed on Shawn's forehead, and he began to curse at the head sticking out of the cargo truck window.
Inside the large cargo truck.
"Huh?"
"What did he just say?"
Jacob withdrew his head, looking at 'Road Roller', who was driving, with a puzzled expression.
"The Warden said not to worry about them, don't take a detour, just pass directly by the Hospital entrance."
Riley thought for a moment and replied with a serious expression.
"The Warden is so kind. Let's go, back to the Prison!"
Jacob's face was filled with emotion.
Then, with a grand wave of his hand, he had the large cargo truck turn around again, majestically carrying a horde of Walkers behind it, and once again passed by the Hospital entrance.
"Thanks, Shawn~~"
Jacob friendly waved at Shawn, and another portion of the Walkers from behind split off.
Shawn was swinging his Crescent Blade, just catching his breath, when he saw Jacob return with the Walkers again.
"Jacob, I'll f**k your grandma!!"
Passing the Hospital gate, Jacob turned his head: "What did the Warden say again?"
"He said, you are his… baby?"
Riley continued to translate with an embarrassed expression.
Upon hearing this, Jacob's heart pounded wildly a few times.
Jacob suddenly opened the car window, stuck his head out, and looked back.
"Warden!"
"You must be well, okay?! You must be well!"
"We are still waiting to build the high walls behind you!"
Nearby, Shawn didn't hear clearly, only seeing Jacob sticking his head out of the car window again, giving him a foolish, idiotic smile.
"Who let this guy out?"
Shawn cut down a Walker, then looked back at the others around him.
Their gazes fell on Shawn, and they shook their heads with an inscrutable expression.
Shawn slapped his forehead and looked up at the sky.
"If I did anything wrong, please let the Blood Moon punish me, instead of letting such a talent appear in my team."
...
Shawn and his group, uncharacteristically, returned to the Prison two hours after sunset.
As soon as Shawn returned, he had Oscar lock Jacob and the people from the Mine together.
He called it: "Love's Imprisonment."
Upon seeing the large gate Shawn brought back, the people at the Prison were stunned.
They couldn't understand why Shawn was so lucky to find such a suitable gate.
They just kept exclaiming 'Oh my god' while caressing the gate, feeling the weighty sensation from it, and feeling a sense of security.
"I'm so mad."
Shawn angrily recounted what happened during the day to Rick and the others, causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Seeing everyone laughing non-stop, even Beth, who had been burrowing into his arms, was laughing, hiding in his embrace like a kitten, her shoulders shaking uncontrollably. Shawn gloomily took a gulp of wheat juice.
However, once his anger subsided, Shawn still instructed Oscar to release Jacob.
"He's just… simple-minded. It's not his fault; it's just related to his genes."
Shawn tried to comfort himself.
However, from then on, Shawn never took Jacob with him when he went out on business.
...
In the following days.
Shawn got busy with the watchtower. Merle had been nagging him about it for a while.
To get some peace and quiet, and also because he wanted to start with relatively easy tasks, Shawn decided to tackle the watchtower first.
This time, Shawn didn't plan to use metal supports as before, but instead built it directly along the corner of the Prison's high wall using concrete.
With the experience from the first time, and with the cooperation of the construction team, the 8-meter-high watchtower was quickly erected.
Shawn twisted some rough spiral stairs from wrought iron and embedded them inside the watchtower.
This way, it would be basically ready for use after just one week.
Of course, Shawn hadn't dismantled the previous watchtower.
Now that there were more people in the Camp, multiple watchtowers could be used in conjunction.
After the watchtower was completed.
While Shane continued to lead people in digging the 'moat', Shawn cut some timber and built a stepped platform right against the high wall.
It featured a flat 2-meter-wide walkway, sturdy wooden handrails, and was supported underneath by thick 'logs'.
These platforms could provide a better observation view, allowing everyone to climb onto the wall for long-range combat.
