"Welcome to our home, Mr. Wildblood. It is an honor that you could find the time to join us tonight," Leo said with a flawless tone, calm and commanding. He extended his hand, greeting Henry just as the man stepped into the ballroom, which was already teeming with high-society guests in their most opulent attire.
Henry returned the handshake firmly, but his gaze was not truly fixed on Leo. "Thank you for the invitation, Mr. Alexander. You certainly know how to host a guest with such grandeur," Henry replied. As he spoke, his eyes began to scan the room in a subtle yet sharp manner, attempting to find the figure that had been haunting his thoughts amidst the crowd.
Henry slowly released his grip and looked at Leo with an inquisitive stare. "You mentioned previously that you were married. If you don't mind, may I greet the Mrs. Alexander this evening?"
Upon hearing the question, Leo showed not a hint of panic. He maintained his most convincing professional smile.
