Celine opened her eyes slowly as the morning light began to filter through the sheer curtains of her room. The side of the bed next to her was already empty, yet she could still feel the lingering warmth and the traces of Leo's masculine scent on the sheets. A strange sensation suddenly crept into her chest, an agonizing internal struggle between a hatred that still burned and the remnants of a love that, as it turned out, had not been fully extinguished.
