There was an uneasiness in the air of the college campus. sun had slipped behind the clouds.wind moved slowly
through the leaves of the trees.
Everything looked normal,
But,,,,
that was only an illusion.because at this very moment,the entire campus
was trapped inside a hunting net.hunters had fully arrived.black vans
stood silently at the entrance of the campus.
doors opened,,
"CLACK."..
One by one the hunters stepped out.
Their eyes searched for only one target.
The Called!!
On the other side of the campus,Anie was running quickly.her breathing
had become heavy.behind her was Eli.
"Here!"
They rushed through the door of an old academic building.door,slammed shut.
Anie leaned against the wall for a moment.
"How did this happen…?"
Eli looked outside through the window.
hunters were spreading rapidly through the campus. scanners in their hands
glowed faintly.
"Energy detection devices,"Eli said quietly.
"Your power spike brought them here."
Anie's heart started beating faster
outside the building,a hunter raised his scanner.
"Signal detected."
On the screen, a small red dot flashed.
"Academic Block B." ,"Target moving."
Hunters began walking toward that direction.
Inside the building,the corridor was empty. classroom doors were closed.
But somewhere in the distance
footsteps.
Hunters!!!!
"We're trapped." she turn to him,
"Not yet." he looked back, He started walking down the corridor. his footsteps
were steady.he wasn't afraid.she suddenly stopped.Between her fingers
the air began to move slightly.
"Eli…"whispered, "It's happening again…"
he looked at her hands.tiny dust particles began to rise into the air.
"Power response,"Eli said.
"I can't control it." she looked totally nervous,
"That's not important right now.
we need to get out of here first."
And then,at the end of the corridor
a Hunter appeared he raised his weapon.
"Stop!"
Anie stepped back in shock. Hunter
rushed forward,his weapon began to glow.
"Target confirmed!"
At that moment,, "THUD!"
his kick slammed into the Hunter's chest.the hunter was thrown
against the wall.Anie stared in shock
Eli's movement was as fast as lightning.
Hunter struggled back to his feet.
He spoke into his communicator.
"Confirmed.
The Called is inside the building."
he let out a quiet breath.
"Now…,…they'll all come."
At the entrance of the campus another vehicle slowly stopped. door opened,
A person wearing black armor stepped out. his face was hidden behind a helmet.Hunters immediately stood still.
he looked at them.
"Report."
A Hunter stepped forward.
"Target located inside Academic Block B."
man nodded slightly his code name
R-07
Now the hunters were under his command.
R-07 looked across the campus.
his voice was cold.
"Team Alpha surround the building."
"Team Beta block every exit."
Hunters moved immediately.R-07 said quietly,
"Let's see,,…what kind of Called
has appeared in this city."
Inside the building Eli looked outside
through the window.Hunters had already surrounded the building.
Anie held her breath.
"Now we're trapped…" Eli looked at her.
there was no fear in his eyes.
"This is your first test."
"What?" she looked confused,
"The power of the Called is not just for hiding.You must learn to face it."
Inside her the air moved again.the corridor windows began to tremble slightly.Anie took a deep breath.this time she wasn't running,she was standing.
Outside,R-07walked toward the building. Hunters followed him.he stopped in front of the door then said slowly,
"Bring the Called to me."
Inside the building they both stopped running,
"Is this a war?" she asked,
"This,is only the beginning." he smiled slightly..
Outside, the hunters entered the building. Their footsteps were getting closer to the corridor.she took a breath.
Inside her,a power was awakening.This was no longer just about running away.
