My phone buzzed early in the morning, pulling me out of the little sleep I managed to get. It was Stacey. Her voice came through fast and tight, like she had been holding it in.
"Ms. Stovall, Harrison Credit has already spoken with the Finance Department. What about Quinn Corporation?"
I pressed my fingers against my temple, forcing myself to focus. My mind still felt heavy, like I hadn't fully come back to myself. In this state, I knew better than to trust my own judgment.
"Contact AC Credit," I said calmly. "Hand over Quinn Corporation's audit to them. You'll take charge of it."
Stacey paused for a second before replying, "Understood, Ms. Stovall. Also, HiTech will begin operations at the end of the month. You may need to travel for a few days."
"I know," I answered. There was no avoiding it.
