After sitting with them for the rest of the night, the atmosphere in the apartment gradually became relaxed and comfortable. Silas eventually stood up from the couch and headed toward the kitchen.
"Sit tight," he said over his shoulder. "You two have been out all evening. Might as well eat something before you leave."
Rias raised an eyebrow slightly while Akeno smiled with interest.
"You cook?" Rias asked curiously.
Silas shrugged casually as he opened the refrigerator. "Enough to survive."
Soon the quiet sounds of cooking filled the apartment. The soft sizzle of food in the pan mixed with the occasional clink of utensils as Silas moved around the kitchen with practiced ease.
The girls watched him from the couch for a moment.
Akeno leaned slightly toward Rias and whispered with a small smile, "He's surprisingly domestic."
Rias crossed her legs elegantly, watching Silas work.
"That just makes him more dangerous," she replied quietly.
Before long, Silas returned with a few simple plates of food. Nothing fancy, but warm and filling. They sat together at the coffee table as they ate.
The conversation drifted naturally between casual teasing, small talk about school, and occasional jokes from Akeno that made Rias roll her eyes.
Silas mostly leaned back comfortably as he listened, occasionally adding something dry that made the two girls laugh.
For once, the evening felt peaceful. Eventually the clock on the wall ticked closer to 23:00.
Rias glanced at it and let out a soft sigh. "It's getting late."
Akeno nodded in agreement. "We should probably return. I'm sure Koneko is worried sick by now"
They stood up from the couch. Rias looked toward Silas with a small smile. "Thank you for dinner."
Akeno bowed her head slightly. "And for the hospitality."
A red magic circle slowly formed beneath their feet as demonic symbols began rotating softly.
"Good night, Silas," Rias said.
"Good night," Akeno added with a teasing smile.
A flash of red light appeared, and the girls vanished using teleportation. The apartment suddenly became quiet again.
Silas stood there for a moment before letting out a small sigh. 'I should bathe before I go to sleep,' he thought to himself.
He walked down the hallway toward the bathroom. Soon the soft sound of running water filled the apartment as he washed off the long day.
After finishing, he returned to his bedroom, the fatigue of the day finally catching up to him. He dropped onto the bed and closed his eyes.
Almost instantly, Silas fell into a deep sleep. Anticipating what would be coming tomorrow.
.....
The next day.
The morning air was cool and fresh as the city slowly woke up. Sunlight filtered between the buildings, casting long shadows across the quiet streets while the distant sounds of cars and morning chatter filled the atmosphere.
Silas walked calmly along the sidewalk with his hands in his pockets.
Beside him were Sona and Tsubaki.
The three of them had developed a routine over time. Nearly every morning they would meet along the same route and walk to school together. What started as simple convenience had slowly turned into something more natural.
They had become closer through their daily walks.
So much so that their conversations now flowed easily, without hesitation or awkward pauses. They joked, teased, and spoke casually as they walked, their voices carrying the comfortable familiarity of people who had known each other for years.
Anyone watching them would assume they were childhood friends.
Sona walked between them, her glasses catching the morning light as she adjusted them slightly.
"Where were you last night?," she said calmly, glancing toward Silas. Tsubaki looked over as well, curiosity in her eyes.
Silas shrugged. "Home of course, I had special guests."
Sona raised an eyebrow slightly."Rias Gremory and Himejima Akeno, I assume?"
Silas glanced at her. "You always know everything, don't you?"
Sona pushed her glasses up again, her expression composed. "It's difficult not to notice when two powerful devils suddenly disappear from Kuoh for several hours."
Tsubaki smiled slightly. "So they were visiting you?"
Silas nodded. "Something like that."
Sona studied him for a moment before speaking again. "And what exactly did they want?"
Silas smirked faintly. "Nothing but we did have food."
Tsubaki blinked. "Food?"
"They stayed for dinner," Silas said casually.
Sona sighed softly. "I suppose that explains it."
They continued walking down the street, passing by a few other students heading toward Kuoh Academy. The sidewalks were slowly filling with uniforms as more students made their way toward school, the quiet morning gradually turning livelier with chatter and footsteps.
For a moment, the three simply enjoyed the calm atmosphere. The gentle breeze carried the scent of fresh grass from a nearby park, while the sound of birds occasionally echoed from the trees lining the street.
Then Tsubaki spoke again.
"You seem a bit energetic today. Care to explain?" she asked, glancing toward him with mild curiosity.
Silas stretched his arms slightly behind his head as he walked, his posture relaxed.
"I slept well," he replied casually. "Even gods need a good night's rest."
Sona glanced at him from the corner of her eye, adjusting her glasses slightly.
"I didn't know that," she said dryly. "I thought gods were omnipresent and didn't sleep. Guess I was wrong."
Silas chuckled lightly.
"I'm not that kind of god, you know."
Sona's expression softened into a curious smile.
"Then what kind of god are you?" she asked. "You still haven't told us anything yet."
Silas didn't answer immediately.
His gaze drifted forward as they continued walking past rows of houses and students heading toward the school gates in the distance.
Then he spoke.
"Destruction."
Sona and Tsubaki exchanged a brief look.
Neither of them missed the subtle energy in his voice when he said it. It wasn't arrogance or exaggeration.
It sounded… factual.
"Like Rias?" Sona asked after a moment. "Well, she isn't a god, but her powers are destructive."
Silas shook his head slightly.
"On an entirely different level."
Then he suddenly waved his hand dismissively.
"But let's change the topic."
He glanced at the two girls beside him.
"What kind of underwear are you wearing today?"
He asked it bluntly while staring at Sona and Tsubaki.
Both of them immediately blushed.
Sona's composed expression cracked instantly as her cheeks turned red.
"Pervert," she said flatly, though her embarrassment was obvious.
Tsubaki also blushed deeply, though she remained silent, staring at him in disbelief as they continued walking.
Silas only smirked faintly.
'That's a great way to change the topic,' he thought. 'It's not that I don't want to tell them everything.'
His eyes briefly drifted toward the sky above Kuoh Academy in the distance.
'It'll all be revealed one day.'
