After the carriage left, Ivan turned around and looked at the academy entrance. A magnificent tall structure stood in front of him, the walls of the academy spread for hundreds of meters in both directions and one couldn't see its end.
Young people in similar uniforms as Ivan walked through the front gate in groups and pairs, chatting about…whatever they were chatting about.
"Hey, move it!"
At this moment, an arrogant voice sounded from behind Ivan as someone bumped into him.
Ivan glanced at the culprit. It was a young man who wasn't taller than him and had an average look, this person was in the same uniform as Ivan which meant that he was also a new student.
Noticing that Ivan was staring at him, the young man turned around and glared at him.
"What are you looking at? Commoners like you manage to enter the academy and just stand around in a daze, why don't you go back home if you're too nervous to go in?" The boy spat.
In response, Ivan just stared at the other party with a calm gaze, wondering why the other party was so angry when he was clearly at fault here.
Seeing that Ivan still wasn't replying to him, the boy grew even angrier and came in front of Ivan.
"You dare to ignore me or you're too frightened to speak?"
Ivan "..."
'It is too early for this,' he thought as he stared at the other party.
"Sorry," Ivan said with a sigh and proceeded to walk past.
The boy was left stunned for a moment and only recovered after Ivan had already walked a few meters away from him. He straightened his posture and returned to his former arrogant expression.
"Hmph! That's what I thought," he snorted before also walking off.
In the meantime, Ivan had already passed through the gate and entered the academy.
It took him some time to find the registration office as Ethan had instructed, this was because there were too many buildings inside the academy and the majority of people he had come across were new students who were just as clueless as he was.
Entering the registration office, Ivan saw several counters with people waiting behind them. Some students had arrived earlier and were currently being attended to by these people.
Ivan spotted a counter with nobody in front of it and approached it. Sitting behind this counter was a young woman who seemed to be in her early twenties.
"Hello, how may I help you?" She asked with a sweet smile after seeing Ivan approach her.
Ivan told her why he was here and the woman asked for his name.
"Ivan Castellan," Ivan responded.
"The Castellan family?!" The woman gasped, a look of shock appearing on her face.
"Is there a problem?" Ivan raised an eyebrow.
Realising that she had overreacted, the woman let out a few awkward coughs before saying.
"Pardon my actions just now, please give me a moment."
After saying this, she got up and disappeared into one of the doors behind the counters.
Ivan stood there and waited for her to return.
After some time, the woman came back with a storage ring and presented it to Ivan.
"Inside it are your student token, academy manual, your lodge number, class numbers, textbooks, and an additional three sets of uniforms. There's also a layout of the academy, the academy ground is quite large so studying the layout will help you get around." She explained with a bright smile.
"Thank you," Ivan said as he received the storage ring. Adding to the storage ring that contained the things that he brought from home, he now has two storage rings.
Ivan was quite surprised that the academy was giving out storage rings. After all, there were quite a large number of students and storage rings were expensive.
"Ah, there's another thing!" The woman called out before Ivan could leave.
Ivan turned and stared at her without saying anything.
"There will be an orientation held for new students by noon, the location is the main hall close to the class building for first-year students." The woman informed.
"I understand, thanks." Ivan nodded and finally left the registration office.
Reaching outside, Ivan found a quiet corner to check the storage ring that he had received at the registration office a while ago.
His consciousness entered the ring and he immediately realised why the academy was able to give out storage rings to the new students. The space inside the storage ring was so small that it was only able to fit the items that were currently inside it, trying to place anything else inside the storage ring right now would be impossible.
'Of course, the academy would be able to afford thousands of storage rings with small storage spaces.' Ivan thought to himself.
The first thing he took out of the storage ring was his lodge number. This was where he would be staying during the time he was at the academy, since students were required to live in the academy.
His lodge number was in the form of a golden card with the insignia of the academy on it, a soaring red star with a crown.
Under the crown was the number "003" written in bold black.
"Lodge number 3? They definitely aren't giving lodge numbers in order of who came first," Ivan mumbled to himself while taking out the layout of the academy.
It was a piece of paper similar to a map, the only difference was that the image on the paper was very life-like.
Ivan felt like he was looking at the academy from the sky.
He quickly spotted the registration office which he had just left a moment ago and then easily located the corner he was currently standing on the map. From there, Ivan found the lodge area which was quite a distance away from his current location.
Without wasting time, he started walking. Twenty minutes later, Ivan arrived at the lodge area.
Rows and columns of buildings unfolded in front of him, forming a vast grid that stretched as far as the eye could see.
Each door had numbers written on it, which would make it easier for students to find their lodge.
Thanks to this, Ivan quickly found his lodge. It was the first building on the third column. He immediately approached and arrived in front of the door.
As if sensing him, patterns appeared on the door, right beside the knob.
"A formation?" Ivan muttered as he stared at the patterns that were shaped in the form of a card, the size of the formation was the same as the card that was his lodge number.
Without needing to be told, Ivan took out the card and pressed it again and patterns.
The next moment, the knob turned by itself and the door opened.
"The lodge number is also the key, not bad." Ivan thought out loud as he entered the building.
He felt that the security set by the academy was very good. As long as one didn't lose their key, their lodge was secured.
Another thing that Ivan was happy about was that students didn't need to share a lodge, this would allow them to have a lot of privacy.
After taking a quick look around the place, Ivan was very satisfied with the setting. A large living room that was already furnished. A bathroom that wasn't smaller than the one he had back at home, and a private study room.
Though the shelves were currently empty, he would fix that later.
