His grip tightened on her wings.
"No!!"
He didn't listen. The wings were pulled out of her back, falling away.
She didn't heal. The pain she felt was real and horrible.
"My wings! How dare you? How could you ?"
She didn't try to move, so he took advantage of it and stomped his leg on her back hard enough to break her spine, even though it regenerated.
Her back kept bleeding without healing. Her wings didn't return.
She spun, slamming a strike on Liyoku's face before he could react.
He disappeared.
She swung around, alert, her eyes scanning the area.
Then her gaze landed on Liyoku, who was running away from the solar system.
"Why are you running now? Coward!!" She followed.
"If any miscalculation happens, Earth might get destroyed." He was running too fast, it seemed he was running faster than the speed of light. "Let's go outside solar system."
"You can't run from me." She moved closer and closer."I didn't know he was World Ruler, it's hard to recognise them when they hadn't died once."
As Liyoku stopped in the darkness, which seemed to be floating along with him, the sun was now just a dot in the sea of darkness.
"Okay, now it's time." He moved his hand into the empty space, his gaze fixed on the moving angel coming toward him.
"Dimensional Flames." As the words left his tongue, a cosmic sphere appeared near him. The void cracked as if something had awakened. Flames were released from it. The angel moved aside, but the heat was still enough to melt her skin.
Before she could do anything else, he spoke the words again. Another crack appeared, the previous one dissolved into the darkness.
She dodged again. He reopened another. She dodged again. They repeated this until she was almost close enough to hit him.
But she didn't land a strike. A feather materialized in her hand, and she slammed it into his neck. The cosmic sphere that had been there vanished as her eyes landed on it.
"So you are a World Ruler." She stepped back, spreading both hands as more white feathers materialized.
Liyoku pulled the stuck feather from his neck. He had started to get dizzy. The poison inside it had started to show effect, as if his cells were being damaged though regenerating.
"You are still alive. How surprising." The angel said before releasing all the wings at Liyoku. This was it. If those hit him, the poison would be enough to overpower the regeneration.
He disappeared, teleporting away from her. He placed his palm on his neck. White sparks appeared, detoxing the poison. While he was doing that, the cosmic sphere had reappeared.
"You are using external healing." She shifted toward him, launching herself forward.
The cosmic sphere disappeared.
Liyoku teleported behind her, striking his elbow on her spine.
She moved her hands behind her, grabbing his skull and throwing him forward, he rolled into the space unable to balance himself.
Then she glanced at her back, which was still bleeding. Her wings hadn't regenerated.
"You know what? Let me show you what an angel could do."
Before she could speak further, a massively large leg hit her head.
She instinctively rolled herself upward before slamming a brutal kick on the spider's head, which was behind her and massive enough to crush a planet with its legs. The spider's red, terrifying eyes were crushed by the impact of the angel's strike.
"A Weber." The bluish blood splashed onto her face and body.
"Disgusting." She vomited, slamming a kick into the spider's belly, which was already dead.
Liyoku didn't dwell on the moment. Instead, he quietly whispered,
"Dimensional Flames."
The angel, unaware of it, was struck by the flames. She screamed.
"It hurts! It hurts!"
"This is the end," Liyoku said more to himself than to her as the crack began to close. Her screams didn't lessen they grew louder and louder.
"Hurts!!"
When the crack finally closed, it revealed her gasping, healing, and terrified.
Her clothes had been burned away, replaced by feathers on her skin.
"You... are... a... monster." She turned her neck toward him, her voice cracked.
She straightened and closed her eyes. Liyoku didn't give her time he aimed for her waist. She blocked his kick while breathing, trying to calm herself.
She threw him far into the darkness.
"Uh, such an inappropriate act. You burned my gown." Her hand rested on her waist.
"What was that Weber thing?" Liyoku balanced himself.
"You are slow in thinking, and now you are asking about the Weber?" She dramatically stretched her hands. "It is just a massive spider nothing else but still disgusting."
"How are you still alive? Unbelievable." Liyoku stared at the live angel who didn't die from Dimensional Flames.
"Angels aren't weak, you know. Stop acting surprised." Though her fingers still brushed against her feathers, easing the irritation on her skin despite it being healed.
"Angels? You are supposed to be a devil." He wasn't able to process what she had just stated.
"There's no such thing as a devil. It doesn't exist. You just changed my species."
She lunged forward, aiming for the left side of his skull.
"But why would angels hunt?" He blocked her kick with his left hand, enduring the impact. He pushed her away, she floated into the darkness before balancing herself.
"There's no rule that says they can't."You are creating your own rules."
"So it was a lie." His eyes widened as the realization sank in.
"It was, and I don't see any conclusion from our battle. I am returning to Earth."
Before she could move further, Liyoku landed a kick in her stomach. Before she could recover, he slammed another.
"Let's see how far I can make you go." His legs' veins tightened as if they were about to give their best. He slammed the kick again and again. He was faster now, she barely had time to even balance herself.
Then something's laughter disturbed his movements.
He stopped, looking around. Nothing came into his sight except the darkness around him.
Catemid was still going farther and farther even though Liyoku had stopped kicking her. Blood was coming from her mouth while she was still healing.
The laughter grew as if a toddler was laughing at them.
Liyoku ran forward toward the angel, ignoring the laughter. As he got closer, the Catemid had already regenerated and was floating.
However, far from her there was something, that was laughing, a creation that wasn't supposed to here.
Liyoku's breath hitched.
"How is this possible?!"
