"Perfect timing," the young nurse said cheerfully. "Dr. Lowell just got out of her meeting."
"Thanks."
With that single word, Zane Jennings walked over.
Behind him, Nurse Abbott, who was walking with Lucy Lockhart, couldn't tear her eyes away. "That waist... those legs." She was at a loss for words. "Damn."
Lucy Lockhart pulled her along, unable to hold back a laugh. "Don't even think about it. He's out of your league."
"I'm not!" Nurse Abbott said, taking a deep, dramatic breath. "He's cold and distant with outsiders, and only close with our Dr. Lowell. I wouldn't dare make a move." She added, "I'll just wait for the wedding invitation."
On that, Lucy Lockhart agreed. "Count me in."
"A handsome man and a beautiful woman. They look like a perfect match no matter how you see them," Nurse Abbott said, her gossip-loving heart aflame. "But... I'm getting a 'he's interested, but she's not' kind of vibe."
It seemed like their Dr. Lowell wasn't too fond of him.
