"Some of the relief medical staff were injured not too long ago. You all need to be careful. The public's lives are important, but yours are too."
Erin Lowell nodded, her voice casual. "We will."
'No matter what, I still have an unfinished mission. I'm very careful with my life right now.'
Yvonne Lewis didn't say anything more, just went over the arrangements. "Alright, go pack up and head home. Your ride is tomorrow morning. Don't wake up late."
"Mm."
"I'll be going then." With that, she headed for the door.

The door to the consultation room opened, and Yvonne Lewis was startled by the person standing right against it. "Here to see the doctor?"
Zane Jennings's expression was terrible. His face was set in a grim line, and his gaze bypassed everything else, locking onto Erin Lowell, who was standing sideways to him inside the room. "No."
It was just one word, but Erin Lowell recognized it. She looked up, a flicker of surprise showing on her face.
