Hailey turned on the bed but she felt nothing beside her and her eyes flew open, she was alone on the bed and she quickly stood up.
She felt really sore from yesterday and she laid back on the bed.
"Shit, I won't be able to walk properly for a while" Hailey muttered.
Hardin and her had spent most of the night wrapped in each other's arms and just the thought of it made Hailey's face flushed.
If someone had told her she would have such a passionate night with Hardin two months ago she would have puked on the thought.
But here she was and she enjoyed it, things are getting really deep between them and the way Hardin looks at her just makes her want this to last forever.
She doesn't want to think about anything else, about what he did to her and the pain he caused, she just wants this moment because it makes her happy.
But where is he?
Hailey turned her head around the room, her eyes searching for him and just as if he read her mind, Hardin came into the bedroom, he was wearing a slack and a black shirt with a tray of food in his hand.
"Awake?" He asked as he walked towards the bed and dropped the food on the bed side.
Hailey smiled at him as he sat on the bed, he leaned in and gave her a light kiss on her lips.
"I'm so sorry" he said, sitting on the bed and Hailey frowned, she wondered what he was apologizing for.
If he was apologizing for the hot sèx they had last night then she would punch him in the guts.
"For what?" She asked, confused.
"I didn't know you were a virgin, I had the sheets changed when I woke up" Hardin said, his voice filled with guilt and remorse and Hailey's eyes softened,
she had no idea the sheets were changed, she didn't even notice it.
She smiled and pulled him closer.
"There's no need for an apology, I gave it to you cause I wanted to," she said and brushed her lips against his.
He smiled and kissed her deeply while Hailey reciprocated, he pulled away earning a groan from her and he chuckled.
"You're sore and I have work today, I got some medicines for you, for the pain" Hardin said and gave Hailey the tray of food with a glass of water and a pill by the side.
"Thanks" she said and he nodded while she took the pill.
"Need to prepare" he said, getting up from the bed and Hailey sighed.
"Can't you skip today?" She asked before she could stop herself and he turned to her.
"I would be back early but I can't miss today" Hardin said and Hailey nodded, sadness written all over her face.
Hardin noticed it and he got back on the bed.
"Guess I would be missing work today"
"Don't let me stop you from going to work, I don't want to be the wife that stops her husband from working" Hailey said and Hardin smirked.
"Going back on your words.. yeah?" Hardin said. "Go to work" Hailey replied.
"Sure..?" He asked, wanting to make sure she was okay with it.
"Yes, go, before I change my mind" Hailey replied and he pecked her before going to get ready.

Hailey was in the living room watching TV when her phone rang, it was an unknown number and she wondered who was calling her.
"Hailey?" Cole's voice was heard and Hailey froze, she wondered how he got her new number.
"Cole, how are you?" Hailey asked and she heard Cole sighed in relief on the other end.
"I'm so glad you're okay, I'm really sorry for not reaching out to you sooner" Cole said hurriedly.
"It's okay, there's nothing to apologize for, if anything I should be the one apologizing"
Hailey said biting her lips.
Guilt running over her body like lightning.
"No.. don't apologize, I couldn't protect you well enough from Hardin" Cole said in a low voice and Hailey sighed.
How would she start explaining to Cole that she didn't want to stay away from Hardin anymore.
"Can we meet today, we have a lot to talk about" Hailey said.
"Sure, let's meet at the restaurant," Cole said quickly.
"I would be there in an hour" Hailey said and hung up.
She took deep breaths before going upstairs to put on something to wear, when she was done, she left the house and went to the restaurant to meet Cole.
He was already sitting inside waiting for her and Hailey wondered how fast he got here.
She walked into the restaurant and immediately he saw her, he stood up and hugged her.
Hailey felt a little uncomfortable but she hugged him back and smiled at him.
"I'm really sorry... Did he hurt you?" Cole said referring to Hardin and Hailey stiffened.
Well technically he did hurt her cause she tried to kill herself but that was all in the past now.
"Let's sit and talk about it" Hailey said and she sat down with Cole to talk.
Unknowing to Hailey, Hardin was in that restaurant, he had come here to meet someone for a business arrangement.
He saw Cole enter and after a while he saw Hailey enter too.
The person he was here to meet had been talking to him but he wasn't listening.
His eyes were on Cole and Hailey, his gaze icy, filled with anger and unspoken emotions.
Was she trying to leave? Again?
