Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12: Quivering Oceans

In every oceans part of Creignmeia, large and small boat ships could be seen sailing, and all of them were facing an unprecedented large wave.

The sky above was a deep, foreboding grey, with clouds that seemed to swirl and twist in every direction.

The wind howled through the rigging of the ships, causing them to creak and groan in protest. The sea itself was a churning, foamy mass of white capped waves, with troughs that seemed to drop off into the very depths of the ocean.

On one of the large ships, the one with the most well equipped equipments, the crew was scrambling to prepare for the incoming wave.

The ship, was a sturdy vessel, built to withstand the rough seas of the open ocean. But even the most professional sailors knew that this wave was something different, something that could spell disaster for even the strongest ship.

"Young Master Loren, you need to go inside the ship and protect Princess Winsty!" shouted by a knight, his voice was barely audible cause by the wind and the waves.

The young man, Loren Grizler, nodded curtly, his blue hair flaying behind him in the wind.

"Alright, make sure everything will be alright." he said, his voice was calm and authoritative.

His servant, a grizzled old man with a weathered face, nodded hastily.

"Yes, young master, please be safe too." he said, his eyes filled with concern.

Loren turned to go inside the ship, but not before casting a glance at the wave that was bearing down on them. It was a towering wall of water, easily three times the height of the ship's mast. The sight of it sent a shiver down his spine, but he knew he had to be strong for the little princess.

Outside the ship, the capable knight, Drizzel Theron, was issuing orders to the charmers.

"Water charmers, come and use your charm spells to minimize the impact of the incoming wave! All charmers that can be used for defense, be prepared and combine your charms to make a barrier for the whole ship!"

The charmers quickly fell into place, their hands weaving intricate patterns as they cast their spells. The air around them began to shimmer, a protective barrier springing into place as they strengthened the defenses.

Drizzel's eyes swept the surroundings, ensuring that everyone was in position.

Inside the ship

"Brother Loren, what's happening outside?" asked by Princess Winsty, her voice trembling slightly as she held onto the bed to stabilize herself from the swaying of the ship.

"Princess, there's an incoming large wave that we're currently facing, Knight Drizzel is outside and other capable charmers, they'll be able to handle it. So you just need to stay here for your safety, alright, don't worry, I would accompany you." Loren's expression was grim but he need to toughened up while making the young princess calm.

The princess looked down, her eyes filled with worry. "If I had just known that this would happen, I should have not insisted on going to the continent of Southmeia." she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Princess, you don't need to be scared about it, with how capable Knight Drizzel is, we would be able to reach Celestia Kingdom safely. We would be able to complete your mission, so cheer up." Loren's expression softened while trying to sound reassuring.

The princess looked up at him, her eyes still troubled. She was a young girl, barely 13 years old, with an afraid yet determined glance in her eyes.

She was Winsty Mclaire, from one of the kingdoms in the Westmeia Continent, and she was on a mission to reach the Celestia Kingdom, the place where Zaiveil's Family is reigning.

back to outside of the ship

As the wave crashed against the ship, the charmers' barrier flared to life, a brilliant flash of light that illuminated the darkening sky. The ship rocked violently, the sound of splashing water and creaking wood filling the air. But the barrier held, the charmers' combined strength proving enough to withstand the wave's fury.

For a moment, there was silence, as if the entire world was holding its breath. Then, slowly, the ship began to right itself, the charmers' barrier dissipating as the wave passed.

Drizzel's eyes swept, checking for any damage.

"Everyone, are you alright?" he asked, his voice firm but concerned.

The charmers nodded, their faces pale but determined. They knew they had just faced a deadly challenge, and they were ready to face whatever came next.

As the ship continued on its journey, the crew and passengers boarded knew that they were sailing into the unknown, they don't know where that large wave came from nor have any idea whether it would happened again, so they stayed prepared and vigilant in their whole journey.
