Damian
Evelyn went behind the tree to remove her clothes so she could shift into her wolf form. Every bone in me demanded to go near her. What the fuck is happening to me? When did I become this clingy? I always hated emotional weakness in others, so why are these emotions creeping into me now?
A low growl pulled me from my thoughts. My eyes snapped toward the sound.
A she-wolf stepped into my view.
She had dark brown fur and the same hazel eyes as Evelyn, but only darker, glowing with something wild and powerful. The moment she saw me, she ran toward me, her tail wagging.
All my life I hated werewolves. They are vampires' sworn enemies. But one look at this wolf and everything inside me melted.
She reached me and began licking my chest, burying her large wolf head against me with a soft purring sound. Without realizing it, a smile tugged at my lips. I knelt in front of her, and that was another shocking thing I ever did. I am a king. I never kneel.
Yet here I was.
"Hello, beautiful Eva."
She whimpered and pressed herself closer. I chuckled, stroking her head, running my fingers through her soft fur.
"Aren't you a real little wolf?"
She growled softly. I felt an intense attraction and a warm feeling stirred inside me. This she-wolf had the same effect on me as Evelyn.
"You are a beautiful and magnificent wolf," I said. "Don't tell Evelyn.. you and I could become best buddies and gang up against her."
She threw her head back and howled, I guess she liked my idea. Then she nuzzled into me and relaxed, still whimpered, taking in my scent. I did the same.
After a while, she turned toward the forest, then glanced back at me. I raised an eyebrow.
"You want to run, little wolf?"
She nodded her big head.
I leaned forward and kissed her head, just like I do with Evelyn.
I nodded my head, giving her permission.
She howled in joy and bolted into the forest. I ran after her. I couldn't leave her alone.
Hearing my footsteps, she ran faster, more like she was playing with me. I was amused. Wolves ran fast, but she was faster. I think it's because she's an alpha wolf and holds more power than others.
After running and spending time together, we returned. My wolf was happy. She nuzzled into me again as if trying to hug me, so I lifted her into my arms, feeling her warmth and scent.
The next second I was on the ground, and Eva was on top of me.
Then I heard a bone cracking sound.
The fur disappeared, I didn't feel those soft fur anymore.
Instead of a wolf, a soft, warm body lay against mine.
My eyes collided with shocked hazel ones.
Evelyn had shifted back.
She looked surprised, no more horrified. I guess Eva shifted without warning her. Then realization struck me like lightning,
Fuck, she was naked. I could feel the softness of her chest pressed against my hard chest. My cock instantly hardened, I have to control myself.
She got up from me, covering her chest with both hands. A blush crept across her skin.
I shamelessly gazed at her. The blush deepened.
"Can you give me your coat?" she asked softly.
I smirked. "You are looking more beautiful like this."
"Goddess, please, Damian…"
The way she begged me almost broke my control.
I picked up my coat from the ground and draped it over her shoulders. She wrapped herself in it and ran toward the tree where she had left her clothes.
I remained where I stood, still remembering the warmth of her body. Damn. What a sight.
A few minutes later she returned, fully dressed, and handed me my coat, avoiding my eyes. I was tortured watching her in those tight clothes. I wanted nothing more than to throw her on the bed, and have my way with her.
Miraculously, I stopped myself.
Instead, I picked her up in my arms. I didn't want anyone to see her in these sexy tight clothes. She stayed quiet, I think she was embarrassed.
I carried her to her room at vampire speed and gently put her down.
"Little wolf, are you tired?"
She shook her head, still refusing to make eye contact.
"Freshen up and come for dinner."
She looked at me through her lashes and nodded.
I walked out of her room, not before pressing a kiss to her forehead. It has become my habit to kiss her. I don't even know why.
After dinner, she went back to her room. I wished her goodnight and headed straight to my office.
Jacob was waiting for me.
"Any news?" I asked.
"Yes, my lord. We heard he's hiding in the Runik Clave."
"Are you sure this time, Jacob? I want to finish the Alrik chapter."
He nodded. "Yes, my lord. Our informant is sure."
"Good. We'll go there. Tell the other vampires to prepare. We must be careful this time."
He bowed and left.
I leaned back in my chair, thinking about my next move, when the door opened slightly. Catherine stepped in hesitantly.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Is it true? You found out where Alrik is hiding?" she asked softly, though fear and sadness was clear in her eyes. She is always like that, soft and kind hearted.
"Yes." That's all I could say.
"What will you do with him?"
"This time, I will kill him." I said with anger.
"Did you speak to him? Maybe there's another option?" she asked hopefully.
I sighed. "I know you don't want this. Trust me, I don't either. But he won't stop until he gets his revenge. And I will not allow that."
She nodded reluctantly. "If this is the only solution, then do what you think is necessary."
She looked sad,not wanting this for any of us. But I have already decided. As king, I make the decisions that are necessary.
This time, I will kill Alrik.
I hugged Catherine, giving her what comfort I could. Then she left.
I sat back down, thinking about everything that happened today. A small smile tugged at my lips.
Spending time with Evelyn and Eva eased the tension in my body. I am looking forward to tomorrow's training.
