Saddie took Maeve's warning to stay away from Tom lightly. After all, there's no way they would cross paths again. Not that she was interested in him.
But then why did she need to stay away from him? She felt like asking Maeve why. But with a huff, she waved off the thought.
The night continued peacefully. After Julian was done introducing the couple, they earned some congratulatory nods.
A few available reporters approached them. Taking simple interviews from the couple. Once that was done with, Julian walked to the table where the three girls sat.
"A moment, please." He gestured at Saddie. Saddie stood up from her seat and followed her dad without question.
They came to a group of middle-aged men, about her dad's age or maybe a bit older. Some of those were stakeholders. Some business partners.
Saddie had to be introduced to them. Of course, as the next CEO, she had to know the team she would be working with.
