For a young boy like Raiden, used to transmission crystals and all that..
Seeing an underground library of thick tomes and ancient books, he stood stunned at the entrance, marveling at the wonder that existed just beneath his own home..
"Woooow~~~" his childish wonder slipped out of his control inexplicably..
"Hahahaha…" Aaron laughed, glad that he could leave his stoic grandson speechless, not with words, but with pure history and foundation..
"Grandpa these are…" he trailed off..
"Yes my boy, your thinking is correct" Aaron siad..
"All these tomes are mythic grade refinement methods and beyond" he punctuated the last part with a flourish of his arms, spreading them wide, as if embracing the awe of his family's name…
"Woooww~~~~" soo many…
What happened to mythical techniques being rare??..
Raiden was floored…
And one couldn't blame him, for in fact, the general knowledge was that mythic techniques were scarce and almost nonexistent..
But here, in this library, he could see multiple shelves filled to brim with books that gave off a more imposing and dominating feel than whatever the blaze emperor mandate, that 6-star mythic grade technique ever did…
"You asked me what the grade beyond the mythic is" Aaron spoke up, taking a step forward..
Raiden fell in behind him, ears open, eyes sparkling, anticipation bubbling…
"Techniques beyond the mythic grade, only three grades have ever been documented to be above the mythic grade, and that too, was information we got during our various conquests and clash with other worlds, so who's to say that there aren't even more?" He laughed…
"Now to answer your question my boy, for techniques above the mythic grade, we have…
The immortal grade techniques…
The Celestial grade techniques….
The GOD grade techniques….
Now, these three grades, like the mythic grade ones, are subdivided by stars, from the lowest 1-star techniques, to the all powerful 9-star techniques…."
Aaron said, pausing for his grandson to digest the words…
Immortal, Celestial, God grade… even the names sound broken…
Raiden's thoughts were racing..
"What makes these better, I know their grades are higher, but it can't just end at purer, more powerful mana/aura, right?" He asked..
Hearing his question, Aaron laughed, " Hah!! Of course not"..
"For starters, one needs to be a transcendent affinity wielder, or a limit break aura user, to even qualify to using these techniques…"
"And while nothing below the 9-star mythic grade techniques, grants you a physique, all the techniques above that do..
As a mana pathway practitioner, an Immortal, Celestial, Or God grade refinement technique would grant you a physique that boasts perfect magical attunement, leading to better EVERYTHING!!!
an aura pathway practitioner on the other hand would receive a physique linked to the technique he's practicing as aura refinement techniques beyond the mythic grade also double as body refinement techniques, with clearer result and less if any fatalities" he concluded…
Raiden's eyes were shining..
Just practicing a refinement method guaranteed one a physique that would amplify everything regardless of his/her path? Wouldn't that make you untouchable at your level?

"Grandpa, you just said 'one of the highest grade techniques' you can't possibly be implying that we have MORE than one 9-star god grade technique, right? RIGHT??"
"Hehehe.. and we're here" Aaron didn't reply, for they had finally arrived at their destination..
In front of them stood a smaller shelf, this one holding only 18 ancient looking books or so…
"Within this entire underground structure, we have over a thousand techniques, the lowest being a 9-star mythic grade technique, but what you see before you, these 18+ books have been responsible for birthing monster after monster of generational Agares men and women"Aaron spoke solemnly..
"The upper shelf contains the 9-star God grade mana refinement methods…
The lower shelf contains the 9-star aura refinement methods, including my Star conqueror method and your father's Raging Asura method…"
"Check them out, feel them our, and whichever one speaks to you, embrace it" Aaron nudged Raiden forward..
Taking a deep breath, he started scanning the books..
Raging Asura Method, 9-star god grade…
Supreme Titan method, 9-star god grade….
Star devourer method, 9-star god grade….
Star conqueror method, 9-star god grade….
Son of The Elements, 9-star god grade….
Chaos breathing method, 9-star god grade…
Cosmic sun supreme method, 9-star god grade….
Darknesss supreme method, 9-star god grade..
One Above All, 9.5-star god grade….
Reaching this particular technique, Raiden paused..

Raising a quizzical eyebrow, he turned to his grandfather..
Aaron, seeing his grandson look at him with confusion written plainly across his face, smiled whilst explaining "your great grandfather, my father, Malachi Agares, was the one to practice that technique, he achieved such a state of resonance with it, that at the moment of his ascension, the world's will dubbed him at the time to be the ONE ABOVE ALL..
Hence the technique was renamed.. the .5 added to its grading was just to show that his achievements were simply not something a 9-star technique should be capable of, and yet, since no proof of something greater existed, the .5 was added" he concluded…
"Wooow~~~ great grandpa must have been terrifying" Raiden said, awe and wonder clear in his tone..
"The most terrifying of them all, it's said that, barring our ancestor, the first, your great grandfather is the most talented of us all till date… though that won't be for long, that old bag's record will be shattered by me soon enough.. humph" he snorted at the end, clearly jealous of the adoration his old man was receiving…
Chuckling, Raiden turned towards the technique once more, One Above All..it has to be this one, right? He thought, but before he could act on it, he eyes drifted to a lone book, sitting quietly at one corner of the shelf, a protective formation placed around it..
"Grandpa, what about this one" Raiden pointed to the inconspicuous book…
Aaron, seeing what his grandson pointed at, had his face turn ashen, "stay away from that book" he hastily pulled Raiden back..
"Why?" Raiden asked, more curious than afraid…
"Because that book has taken out more agares geniuses than any power out there" he spoke solemnly..
"What? It's that terrifying? But it's just an aura refinement technique right? What's its grade?" Raiden asked one after another, not believing a technique could be that scary…
"It's not just an aura refinement technique, it's something else, more powerful, more sinister, as for it's grade? We do not know, all we've know so far is the technique's name, and that's as far as anyone has ever gone in cultivating it" Aaron face was dark, remembering all the bright names this thing snuffed out..
"What's the technique called grandpa" Raiden asked, now fully intrigued, and somewhat anticipating..
"It's the Death Aura Refinement Technique"...
A/N: okay this chapter's a bit longer than usual, and I know some of you might have noticed my mentioning of other worlds and something like the dark races and such… all will be made clear the more we progress, so bear with me, I'm still trying to make sure everything falls properly into place and is readable…
2: I'm not too fund of the name Death Aura Refinement Technique, so if y'all have a name that sounds better, be sure to drop a comment, I might end up using that one…
