Chapter 41 - Style

The school day passed in a flash, and soon it was time to head home.

Silas walked down the stairs and saw Alice already in his car waiting for him, beside her stood Kate.

"Are you two ready?"

"Yeah." 2x

Silas nodded and got in the car. After he sat down, Alice and Kate also sat down.

He started the car and started to drive out the parking lot.

They had some friendly conversation as they drove towards Kate's house.

After dropping off Kate, it was time for Alice.

They arrived at the Cullen house and as Alice got out she turned around and said.

"Thanks for the ride."

Silas nodded.

"My pleasure, just be faster tomorrow, we almost got late."

Alice smiled and made a salute.

"Will do."

Silas chuckled.

"Alright, see you tomorrow."

With that he drove away.

Time passed and the next day passed in a similar manner.

He played chauffeur to school, then on the way back.

Finally Wednesday rolled around.

Silas pulled up to the Cullen house and honked the horn.

Alice rushed out and got in the car.

"Go!" She said dramatically like she had just robbed a bank.

Silas said. "Yes, boss." And drove off.

A minute later Alice chuckled and asked.

"Are you ready to go shopping later?"

Silas nodded.

"Yeah."

Alice smiled.

"I have been looking forward to upgrading your wardrobe."

Silas looked over.

"What's wrong with my wardrobe?"

Alice raised an eyebrow and looked over, and a teasing smile appeared on her lips.

"What isn't wrong? It's just jeans and sweaters, and the majority of it is black."

Silas felt embarrassed.

"So? It's good clothes, I think I look stylish."

Alice rolled her eyes.

"It's only your pretty face that bears up those clothes, otherwise you wouldn't look `stylish` as you said."

Silas felt insulted and looked down at what he wore. What could be wrong with a pair of dark jeans and dark blue hoodie?

"It's a timeless look." Silas retorted, he felt men's style all over the world had been insulted.

Alice sneered.

"It's a homeless look."

Silas gritted his teeth. Just because some homeless people wear it doesn't make it a homeless look, alright?

Alice glanced at his face and smiled.

"Don't worry, I will fix your style, that way you can truly be stylish."

Silas looked over.

"It has to be similar to what I usually wear."

Alice nodded.

"Don't worry I won't change your style, I will fix it, make it more elegant."

Silas nodded, maybe that was a good idea. He had been worried about his clothes for some time.

It was all too similar, too dark and… maybe homeless looking.

Just as he was thinking this, they rolled up to Kate's house.

He honked the horn and Kate ran out, backpack in hand.

She rushed over and got in the backseats.

"Seat belt?" Silas asked.

"Yeah." Kate replied.

All very routine.

"Alright, then let's go."

With that they headed to school.

Just as they got out onto the main road. Kate leaned forward.

"My sister told me to tell you to be careful of black ice, it can be slippery."

Silas nodded.

"Don't worry, I know."

Kate leaned back.

"I have confidence in you, blame my sister if anyone."

Silas chuckled.

"Your sister is just worried."

Just then did they arrive at school. Silas parked and got out, the two girls stepped out right after.

They walked inside and then split up. They had their lockers in different parts of the school.

Silas headed to his locker and took out his history books.

This class was one of the most chill ones.

He arrived at class and sat down, soon students started to pour in and the teacher also arrived.

"Alright class, today we will discuss…"

The class passed smoothly and so did time. Before Silas knew it, lunch had already arrived.

"Silas, my good brother, are you heading to lunch?"

Just as Silas was leaving his stuff in his locker Emmett appeared.

Silas looked over and said.

"Yeah. You?"

"Of course." Emmett responded.

Silas closed the locker and they headed for lunch.

When they arrived at the cafeteria the others were already waiting for them.

"You guys are always so slow." Ella said with a smile.

Silas shrugged his shoulders whilst Emmett just smiled.

"Perfection takes time."

Everyone looked at Silas with raised eyebrows.

"Perfection?" They questioned in unison.

"Yeah." Silas said.

Just then Edward stepped forward.

"Alright. Let's just have lunch."

Everyone nodded except Silas and Emmett. Even Alice and Kate nodded. It was a bit too much.

They stepped inside the cafeteria and Silas headed for the lunch line.

He bought the usual. An apple and apple juice.

They sat down at the usual table and started the daily conversation.

Silas just mindlessly ate his apple and listened to the conversation. Just then Ella leaned in towards Alice and asked teasingly

"Aren't you and Silas going shopping later?"

Alice nodded, unaffected by the teasing.

"He needs to update his style, and I also need to buy some new clothes."

After Ella heard this she turned to Silas.

"What do you think, Silas? Are you excited for your updated style?"

Silas swallowed his bite and looked over.

"Yeah, I have full trust in Alice to update my style."

Ella nodded.

"Good instincts."

The rest of the lunch passed smoothly. Kate had to leave earlier than the rest of them 'cause she had a different schedule.

So walking out it was just Alice and Silas.

"Are we going to eat in Port Angeles?" Alice asked.

Silas shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't know, what do you think?"

Alice smiled.

"If you get hungry when we're there, then we should eat."

Silas nodded. He agreed.

"Well, let's meet in the parking lot later, I need to head to class." Alice smiled and waved as he turned right.

Silas watched her back as she left. She always has to make such dramatic separations.

Heading to his locker to check the schedule and get the necessary material. He realized his next class was math.

As he arrived he saw Emmett painting in his notebook.

"What are you painting?" Silas asked.

"Ah, brother, nothing, just some lines, you know, waiting for the class to start."

Silas nodded.

He sat down and soon after, the teacher arrived.

"Alright class, time for some math."

The class passed fast since the teacher didn't talk much and the rest of the class was just students talking and wasting time.

After class ended Silas had just one more class. English.

Ever since Rosalie stopped being so annoying, it had actually become one of his favorite classes.

It's true, the people make the class.

He walked into the classroom and found his seat.

As the teacher walked in, so did Rosalie. She walked over and sat down.

"Hello." Silas said.

"Mm, hello." Rosalie replied.

The rest of the class passed like this, awkward small talk and quiet.

"Finally the day is over." Silas mumbled to himself as he approached his locker.

Now all he needs to do is throw his books in the locker, and walk out.

...

Enjoy.
